In October 1986, it was sponsored and implemented by the Town Construction Office, costing 330,000 yuan, and the outline of the park was completed by the end of 1988. Later, construction was postponed due to stranded funds. In July 1995, with the support of superior departments and local governments, construction resumed and more than 900,000 yuan was raised. It took half a year to basically complete the preliminary park construction project. Later planned expansion projects include pavilions and pavilions in the center of the lake, winding corridors, and the relocation of ancient bridges.

Maple Creek Park was completed and officially opened to the public on December 20, 1985. The four characters "Fengxi Park" on the gate tower were inscribed by Mr. Zhu Xuefan, former vice chairman of the National People's Congress.
