Scenic spots in Xiuyu District

Meizhou Island Mazu Cultural Tourism Zone, Mazu Tempel, Tianyundong Scenic Area, Xianlianggang Tianhou Palace, Dong Xian Zixiao Cave, Tian Fei Hometown Heritage Park, etc.

1. Meizhou Island Mazu Cultural Tourism Zone: Meizhou Island is located in the northern half of Meizhou Bay. The island has lush trees, numerous harbors, winding coastline, continuous beaches and beautiful scenery.

2. Mazu ancestral temple: it was built in the fourth year of Song Yongxi (987). Later generations continued to expand and repair, and by the time of Tiansheng (1023- 1032), it had begun to take shape. 1966, Mazu Temple in Meizhou was destroyed one after another, leaving only Notre Dame Temple (Youde Temple) and Zhong Jun Temple. From 65438 to 0978, Lin Congzhi and others led villagers to rebuild Mazu Tempel on a large scale.

3. Tianyudong Scenic Area: Rock groups around Tianyudong are stacked and pine trees are everywhere. At four o'clock, camellia blooms and grass grows in different places. It is amazing in Xinghua with its strange peaks, strange rocks, secluded caves, secluded forests and secluded paths

4. Xianliang Port Tianhou Palace: Xianliang Port, also known as "Huangluo Port", is now named Li Gang Village. Originally under the jurisdiction of Zhongmen Town, Putian County, it is now under the jurisdiction of Shanting Township on the north bank of Meizhou Bay. The Tianhou Ancestral Temple in Xianliang Port is dedicated to the statue of Mazu's parents and the statue of Mazu in the Song Dynasty, as well as the ancestral tablet of Mazu.

5. Zixiao Cave in Dong Xian: Across the sea from Meizhou Island, there are thunder monsters on Putuo Mountain. There are two huge stones at the foot of the mountain, just like two gates, and the left fan has the word "Wangxianmen" carved in stone. After crossing the Shimen, you arrive at Zixiao Cave halfway up the mountain.

6. Tian Fei Hometown Site Park: The park has planned and constructed a hometown site area, an ancestor sacrifice area, a cliff stone carving landscape area, an auspicious cultural area and a folk custom area. There are landscape facilities such as the Great Archway, Panguige, peace tower, Mazu Cultural Origin Museum, and many important cultural relics related to Mazu are preserved in the Origin Museum.
