How much is the monthly living expenses in Cambodia?

Cambodia is one of least developed countries in the world. According to a tour guide, a Cambodian can live well in the capital Phnom Penh as long as he earns four or five hundred dollars (about 3,000 RMB) a month.

But the consumption in Siem Reap is higher than that in the capital Phnom Penh, because there are too many tourists.

However, the local people always seem to be happy and satisfied. Hotel waiters always smile when they meet, and women often put their hands together on their chests. Drivers in the street sometimes jump out a few words of Chinese and laugh heartily.

I admire their ability to sleep in hammocks. Hammocks for people to rest can be seen everywhere in suburbs, scenic spots and moats.

Many drivers of Tuk Tuk cars will tie hammocks between two pillars on the roof of Tuk Tuk and fall asleep while waiting for guests to visit.
