Which places are the most enjoyable to travel to!!
I recommend two, one is Iceland and the other is Yamagata Prefecture.
Iceland. The countries I like must have unique and rare natural features and are iconic. I am not uninterested in cities. I have been to Paris 8 times, but I have never taken a serious look at Paris. In front of nature, that is what we call it. For the majestic human civilization, I feel that it is nothing in the entire history of life on earth. Iceland is such a country, it is an alien planet on earth.
In March this year, I took wedding photos for my friends in Iceland. I took them to the wreckage of the plane. We walked for 2 hours at night at minus 5 degrees Celsius. In the end, I took the wedding photos under the aurora. After taking the photos Afterwards, we returned to the hotel and showed the photos to the Icelandic aunt at the hotel. The aunt cried when she saw them and said it was the first time in over 50 years that she had seen someone take wedding photos under the aurora in Iceland. It was so cute.
There is also Yamagata Prefecture in Japan. Here is the Ginzan Hot Spring, the filming location of "Spirited Away". After dark, you can soak in the hot hot springs while experiencing the romantic fairy tale-like street scene. When most people travel to Japan in winter, they choose Hokkaido and go to Sapporo and Otaru to watch the canals or go skiing. However, there are too many people there and it is not as quiet as Yamagata Prefecture.
Every year from December to February, heavy snow falls here, turning it into a fairy tale world covered in snow. Hayao Miyazaki's animation "Spirited Away" and the Oscar-winning film "The Embalmer" were filmed here. The ancient hot spring town is built around the river, and the buildings here are full of Taisho era style. The thick snow in winter makes the hot spring street even more beautiful, and people who come here feel like they are in a time machine.
The buildings here are wooden structures from the late Taisho period to the early Showa period. Coupled with the endless sound of gurgling water, the rising mist, and the fairy tale-like beautiful snow, it is as beautiful as a fantasy.
Walking in the ancient hot spring street, what you must not miss is of course the foot bath or bathhouse. There is a "Hele Foot Bath" at the entrance of the hot spring street, which is free. After walking in the fields for a long time, your feet will inevitably get cold, so you can take off your shoes and socks boldly here!
It’s super relaxing to soak your feet in the hot springs while enjoying the snowy scenery! The most famous hot spring in Yamagata Prefecture is the "Fujiya" designed by Mr. Kengo Sumumi. He likes to use bamboo, wood, paper, stone, and glass as the main architectural elements, which is simple and stylish. His hot springs have 5 different characteristics.
Yamagata Prefecture is a very small town. Currently there are only about 15 hotels in the town, so it is best to book three months in advance every winter, otherwise it is easy to sleep on the streets. Yamagata Prefecture is located in the northeastern part of Japan. From Tokyo, you can get to Oishida Station by Shinkansen in 3 hours. As long as you stay in the hot spring town, the store will send a car to pick you up and you can get to the hot spring town in about 40 minutes.
