During the period of collection, renewal and replacement of resident identity cards, temporary resident identity cards may be submitted.

Passport processing flow

To apply for a passport, you must bring your ID card to the entry-exit administration department to receive the Approval Form for China Citizens Going Abroad for Private Purposes (hereinafter referred to as the Application Form), then fill in the application form and submit the following relevant materials:

Generally, it takes 15 days to issue an ordinary passport, and it takes 5 working days to issue an expedited passport.

Relevant documents stipulate that if a citizen applies for an ordinary passport or applies for the change, replacement or renewal of an ordinary passport, the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ shall issue it within 15 days from the date of receiving the application materials. Those who meet the requirements for expedited handling of ordinary passports shall be issued by the exit-entry administration organ of the public security organ within five working days from the date of receiving the application materials.
