"Pearl Spring Scenic Area" is a provincial tourist resort and national water conservancy scenic area.

Introduction

Nanjing Pearl Spring Scenic Area is located at the southern foot of Dingshan Mountain in Pukou, Nanjing, with a planned area of ??14.8 square kilometers and an actual development area of ??8.9 square kilometers. Pearl Spring Scenic Area is both a provincial tourist resort and a national water conservancy scenic spot. Pearl Spring has green mountains, beautiful water, strange springs, beautiful rocks, beautiful scenery, and an excellent ecological environment. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was known as "The First Tour in Jiangbei". The scenic spot has obvious location advantages, facing the Yangtze River and backed by Laoshan. It is integrated with the Jiangbei New Town under construction and has diversified transportation. It is closely connected to the main urban area of ??Nanjing through the Yangtze River Bridge, Sanqiao and Weiqi Road Tunnel, with good accessibility. The area is also easily accessible by various transport facilities.

Introduction to Pearl Spring Scenic Area

Zhuzhu Spring Scenic Area is located in the northwest of Nanjing City, 7 kilometers away from Pukou Railway Station. The core scenic spot, Pearl Spring, has green water and clear water, and the Great Wall built against the mountains allows tourists to become heroes without going to Badaling. There are various wildlife parks, amusement parks, and water worlds in the scenic area, which are very suitable for parent-child travel.

Pearl Spring

There are multiple entrances to the Pearl Spring Scenic Area. The main entrances are the East Gate and the West Gate. The west gate is close to the most important scenic spot, Pearl Spring, and it is best to enter the scenic spot from the west gate. In the 18th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1590), a severe drought occurred in Nanjing. Farmers living in Pukou still had a good harvest because of Pearl Spring. Since then, the spring has become famous and is known as the "No. 1 Tourist in Jiangbei". Now, you can still see the "Ten Thousand Colors Pearl" carved on cliffs from the Ming Dynasty by the lake. Pearl Spring, also known as Qingyu Spring and Xike Spring, is the most interesting thing. Clap your hands by the lake, and strings of pearl-like bubbles will keep popping up.

The Great Wall

Going north from Pearl Spring is an uphill road leading to the Great Wall. The Great Wall was built in the 1990s and looks like the Badaling Great Wall, with a wall length of 3,000 meters. It is built on Furong Peak, Miaofeng Peak and Lion Peak arranged from west to east. The highest peak, Miaofeng Peak, is 255.5 meters above sea level, so you can climb up to the Great Wall Castle on Miaofeng Peak and overlook the scenery below. Although the Great Wall is not very high, the continuous stairs are quite tiring. If you climb slowly, it will take about 2 hours to go around the Great Wall. You can also take the cableway to Miaofeng, which costs 60 yuan one way and 80 yuan round trip. You need to buy another ticket to the Great Wall for 25 yuan, but you don’t need to buy a Great Wall ticket to buy the cableway ticket.

Wildlife Zoo

Tourists with children can go to the wildlife zoo in the scenic area. There are not many types of animals, mainly "beasts", so they are all tigers, lions and black bears. It’s so cute to see the babies of these animals. The best shows at the zoo are two. The Dream Theater is indoors, with some lions feeding each other, tigers walking on piles of plum blossoms, etc. Performance time: 10 o'clock, 14 o'clock; the Festival of Beasts is outdoors, with performances such as bear flying, equestrian, and bear marrying the bride. Performance time: 11 o'clock and 15 o'clock.

Water World

There are many water entertainment projects on Jingshan Lake east of Pearl Spring. The most popular is the bamboo raft, which can be used to fetch water. 25 yuan/hour, minimum consumption 75 yuan. The amusement park in the scenic area includes bumper cars, roller coasters, rapids, etc. All require additional charges, ranging from 10-60 yuan. Near the east gate of the scenic spot is Water World, which is similar to the Happy Water Cube Water Park. The difference is that the water in the amusement facilities is authentic spring water.
