Because I go to Thailand for vacation 2-3 times a year, I am quite familiar with Thailand. I have been to Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Krabi, Hua Hin, Koh Samui, Chiang Rai and other popular cities, and have done domestic group tours and independent travel. I summarized some of my travel experiences in Thailand and made a reference for friends who want to travel to Thailand. I hope it can help everyone! When going to Thailand, the first important thing is a visa. You can enter the country with a visa, and then you can start your trip to Thailand. Thailand visas are divided into pre-departure visas, arrival visas and the latest electronic visas, which are divided into the following processes:
1. Visa in advance: You can go to the Thai Consulate in China (Guangzhou or Beijing) in advance, or you can find an agent. The cost is about 300 per person, and the visa takes 3-8 working days. You can stay in Thailand for 60 days with this visa.
2. Visa on arrival: After arriving in Thailand, fill out the immigration card and visa application form on arrival at the airport, and then wait in line (the queue will be a bit long during the peak tourist season). The fee is 2,000 baht per person (about 400 RMB), and only Thai baht is accepted. Note: Thailand’s preferential policy: visa-free before October 31 this year, hurry up when you want to go), valid for 15 days. This kind of visa requires you to carry a certain amount of cash or equivalent currency with you (the spot check rate is 5%, which is more personal). If you do not bring cash with you during the random inspection, you risk being deported.
After getting the visa, where should I go to Thailand? Thailand can basically be divided into three routes: northern, central and southern. These three areas are far apart and the attractions are naturally scattered.
3. North: Mainly visit historical and cultural relics, temples, etc. Famous places like Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, where the White Temple/Blue Temple are located, are where many people retire.
4. South: Mainly island tours. Thailand's largest islands, Phuket, Koh Samui, and Krabi, are all in southern Thailand and are the best choices for honeymoon vacations.
5. Central area: mainly visit Bangkok, Pattaya, and islands. The most classic route is Bangkok-Pattaya-Samui. Here, you can feel the royal culture, temple culture, massage culture, transvestite culture, Muay Thai culture, etc. You can also feel the charm of islands, such as the famous Koh Samui, Greenland and Golden Sands Island.
6. Bangkok is the capital of Thailand. It has the Grand Palace, Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Erawan Buddha, online celebrity water market, night market and other attractions. Known as the Hawaii of the East, Pattaya Beach is also a "men's paradise", with transvestite shows and adult shows available. Of course, Pattaya also has attractions such as the Nongnooch Tropical Garden, the Temple of Truth, the Golden House, and the Treasure Buddha Mountain. The nearest island, Koh Samui, has the most beautiful beaches in Thailand, and you can enjoy windsurfing, snorkeling and other water sports all year round. Thailand is the quintessence of Thailand, with complete tourist facilities and transportation infrastructure, making it the first choice for general tourism.
