The gradual depression of small trains on Xu-Dan Railway is inversely proportional to the rapid development of the times. In fact, in the 1990s, with the rapid development of national railways and the accelerated construction of transportation networks such as highways, expressway was built between counties, between counties and townships, and even between villages. In addition, the cancellation of expressway toll station made expressway transport more dynamic, and the small train gradually withdrew from the historical stage and faded out of the world's sight.

The relevant person in charge of Henan Railway Bureau said that in recent years, both passenger and freight revenues of Xudan Small Railway have shrunk dramatically, and almost no money has been made. The existence of small railways restricts the development of local railways, and "demolition is inevitable". Although in the past few decades, Xudan Small Railway has provided great convenience for people to travel abroad and transport goods, and it has had endless glory and glory. However, due to the inability to connect with the national railway trunk line, coupled with factors such as poor system, aging equipment and insufficient funds, it once fell from glory to trough in the tide of market economy. In addition, many crossings along the route are unattended and accidents occur frequently every year. Therefore, the demolition of small railways is also the inevitable development of the times.

According to analysis, the key reason for the demolition of small railways is not the shortage of supply. Pingdingshan Coal Group, Yongmei Coal Industry Group and shenhuo group invested heavily in the development of coal, iron ore, limestone and other resources in Yuzhou, Xuchang and other places, but large enterprises such as Caixin Group and Jindan Lactic Acid in Dancheng need these resources in large quantities. Only enterprises in these two places can make small trains run all day. However, the decision-makers of Xudan Small Railway have clearly realized that we can't keep Jinshan without food, the small train can't adapt to the larger traffic volume, and the operation of "ants moving mountains" can't support the Xu Dan Railway. Only reform can have a prospect!

6.5 billion to build "Shinkansen"

The upgrading and transformation of Xu Dan Railway is a quasi-rail construction project of Chongqing-Ningbo Railway, which is determined as a key project by the provincial government. The reconstructed Xu Dan Railway will start in Yuzhou City and end in Bozhou City, Anhui Province, so it will be renamed as Yubo Railway.

The new line starts from Jiaozi Mountain in Yuzhou City in the west, passes through Xuchang City, Yanling County, Fugou County, Taikang County, Huaiyang County, dancheng, Luyi County, Bozhou City and jieshou city, and extends westward to Jia County in Pingdingshan City, spanning Henan and Anhui provinces, covering four prefecture-level cities (1kloc-0/county-level cities). The gauge changed from 762 mm to 1435 mm, and the capacity of each train increased from 350 tons to about 2,500 tons. After the railway line is completed and opened to traffic, the annual traffic volume reaches 6.5438+million tons, which can save 300-400 million yuan for enterprises along the line every year and promote the resource development and investment attraction of about 654.38+065.438+0 counties (cities) along the line.

The "wide" small railway will undertake the transportation project of Yuzhou cement, sedan chair rock yard, building materials, ceramics, phosphate rock and other items, and even some coal and cement that need to be transported abroad in Jiaxian County, Pingdingshan City can be "eaten". Cheap energy transportation costs will greatly reduce the production costs of industrial enterprises along the line and promote the healthy development of enterprises; At the same time, the line further extends eastward, which can ensure the energy utilization in East China.

Now, the first phase of the quasi-rail reconstruction project of Chongqing-Ningbo Railway has started. Xu Dan Railway will be reborn in labor pains, and start to build a railway traffic "Shinkansen" covering 1 1 counties (cities) and benefiting millions of people!
