Can I get a refund if the tour is cancelled due to force majeure?

force majeure refers to an objective situation that cannot be foreseen, avoided and overcome. Generally, there are two types: one is natural disasters; The other is social events.

firstly, tourists can choose to negotiate with the travel agency to change the contract. Take measures such as delaying travel and changing the itinerary to avoid the impact of this force majeure, until the Ministry of Culture and Tourism cancels the suspension of business measures. If the contract is changed, the increased expenses shall be borne by the tourists, and the reduced expenses shall be returned to the tourists.

if the contract can't be continued and the travel agency and tourists can't negotiate to change the contract, they can terminate the contract.

according to the regulations, if the travel itinerary is affected due to force majeure or events that cannot be avoided after the travel agency and the performance assistant have taken reasonable care of their obligations, the travel agency and the tour organizer should refund the rest to the tourists after deducting the non-refundable fees paid to the ground agency or the performance assistant when canceling the contract.
