Activities on March 3 rd
The so-called "March 3, Pangu Mountain", so the third day of the third lunar month is the day of pilgrimage to Pangu Mountain.
The creation of Pangu is one of the oldest legends of the Chinese nation. Pangu Mountain, south of Biyang County, Zhumadian City, Henan Province 15km, is the legendary place where Pangu opened the world and created everything. The myth of Pangu's creation has a long history. According to historical records, at least since the Northern and Southern Dynasties, there have been grand sacrificial activities in Biyang. Every year at the Pangu Temple Fair on the third day of the third lunar month, hundreds of thousands of people come from all directions to worship Pangu, the ancestor of mankind, and take this opportunity to pray for relatives and friends.
Since 2003, Biyang County has vigorously promoted Pangu culture, and turned this traditional temple fair into a Pangu Cultural Festival integrating culture, tourism, economic development, seeking roots to worship ancestors and displaying Biyang's image. It has been held for 10.
There are many "Pangu Holy Land" in China, but in Henan Province, only Pangu Mountain in Biyang County is called "Pangu Holy Land in China". This Pangu Mountain is not famous for its high altitude, because the main peak of Pangu Mountain is only 459 meters above sea level, which can be described as "petite" among the mountains, but it has won the reputation of "Pangu Holy Land" among many famous mountains and beautiful scenery in the Central Plains, and naturally it has its own advantages.
On the top of Pangu Mountain stands Pangu Temple. Pangu Temple was built in the Five Dynasties. Legend has it that there was a divine light on Pangu Mountain, and even a mirage fairyland was witnessed by villagers, officials and bureaucrats. Every wonder is only half a day's journey from the world, including the imperial palace in Xianlou, which is in good order. Kirin, Cai Feng, Qingluan, Crane, Bai Chi and Shenlong are playing inside; Yushu in Cao Qiong can be seen everywhere; Guo Ling's treasures are mouth-watering. Immortals fly to the Purple Que of Yao Palace, accompanied by colorful clothes, Gong E and the boy. Fairy spirit, extraordinary comfort.
Among them is a great hall with the greatest potential. On the main entrance in front of the main hall, there is a big sapphire plaque with the words "Pangu Hall" written in gold, resplendent and solemn. There is a jade carving 100 feet high in the yard outside the temple. The whole body is flawless and smooth, not to mention the slightest carving. Simple and natural, it is natural. This jade carving depicts a man of God, but he looks dignified when he sees this man with heavy eyebrows, big ears, shirtless upper body, knotted muscles and an apron with oak leaves. Holding a sharp knife and axe, wielding the sky and shaking the earth, shocking the world, it is the great Pangu God who has the power to create the world.
This matter spread to Kyoto and told the saints. The emperor ordered the imperial court to supervise the exhibition and told him that it was a miracle and a good sign. The emperor pro-automatic car arrived a week later, just in time. I am very happy, clean my body, fast, burn incense and pray to God and heaven. Look up to the sky and listen, and protect the country forever. After that, craftsmen were sent to build a temple and set up a society at the top of the mountain, and a monument was erected to pass on. Taoist priests and Taoist priests were ordered to represent the world for national security.
Legend has it that Pangu ascended to heaven on the ninth day of September and the third day of March. So every year, in the off-season of bloom in March, temple fairs are held to commemorate Pangu's contribution to the creation of heaven.
At this time, ordinary monks and Taoists, bureaucrats and civilians, businessmen and vendors, and scholar Ding Bai all gathered here. Or talk about it, or compare it with luxury, or make a living from it, or look for ink and dream pens, giving birth to wonderful flowers.
Three religions and nine streams, pawn artists, in the meantime, mountains and rivers, people and mountains. Selling, bargaining, laughing, chanting, praying, chanting, all kinds of voices are endless. Under the mountain, chariots and horses, cloud cars, simple sheds and canopies lie on the ground, occupying an area. On the side of the mountain road, there are people who rest in the shade, who make tea, who drink alone, who drink together, who walk sweating like rain, who lean on bamboo, who jump enthusiastically, who help each other by nepotism, who are in a hurry, who stop to wait and see, and so on. On the top of the mountain, there are fire-breathing, face-changing, magic, sword-swallowing, gravel-breaking, knife-playing, gun-dancing, whipping, fiber-riding, lion-dancing, dragon-dancing, cockfighting and monkey-playing. There are riddles, couplets, poems, etc. And poets are all talented people. I have helped many talented people and beautiful women!
Ms Jasper naturally likes some small and exquisite things, such as beads, hairpins, Yu Pei, hair bands, amulets and so on.
Local snacks, cold drinks, puppets, kites, wood blade and bamboo flutes are all the most suitable for children.
There are also foreign merchants who bring brocade, fog tea, calligraphy and painting, and beautiful jade to barter yellow and white. Many kind men and women bring their families and worship devoutly in order to get blessings.
In a word, Pangu Temple Fair is an annual event. If you don't go, you will regret it for the rest of your life!
On June 4th, 2005, China Folk Writers Association officially named Biyang County as "China Pangu Holy Land".
The "March 3rd" Temple Fair is also a traditional "program" in The Fairy Temple, an ancient town in Jiangdu.
On the third day of the third lunar month, it is the season of "azaleas and bamboos, plum blossoms everywhere". On this day, a slender crescent moon quietly landed on the river at the west point of the street, and a blush slowly appeared on the old elm tree in the town east. At this time, cheerful firecrackers sounded one after another in the town, and the whole town began to boil.
The sun rises gradually and looks down: people dressed in auspicious clothes, like butterflies, gather in the town from all directions, and then flock to the temple like spring tide. Streets, firecrackers, gongs and drums, everywhere is the joy of the festival. ...
It is said that this kind of meeting began in the Han Dynasty. According to legend, at the end of the Western Han Dynasty, Wang Mang rebelled and the world was in chaos. On the third day of March, the ninth generation grandson of Emperor Gaozu was chased by Wang Mang to Xianmiao (then called Xianmiao) and saved by a fisherman. Later, the Zhuang people remembered Liu Xiu's blessing and specially built a Golden Dragon King Temple (the villagers thought that the emperor was the embodiment of the Golden Dragon). After that, on March 3 every year, villagers from four townships and eight towns came to burn incense and worship, which gradually evolved into a temple fair. Some people also say that this "March 3" is related to farming. At the beginning of the busy farming season, the villagers always pray for good weather, so on this day, they first worship the Dragon King for a bumper harvest. This statement seems more credible.
Legends are always legends. For people who live in the countryside and work hard, the origin of this annual "March 3" temple fair is not important, but this kind of self-entertainment festival is desirable. On the day of the temple fair, the residents in the town should invite relatives and friends from other places to the temple fair in advance. Therefore, dozens of men, women and children from Fiona Fang gathered in the town, and even people from Yangzhou and Nanjing came by bus. The scene is spectacular.
On this day, the Longwang Temple was crowded with people. Around the temple yard, vendors gather, all kinds of snacks are all over the street, and all kinds of local products are mixed. Playing monkeys, dancing swords, dancing sticks, falling lotus, loving Tao ... Shouting, hawking, gongs and drums, and small coughs and whistles in children's hands can be heard two or three miles away. There was a flat land in front of the temple, but I saw pilgrims jostling shoulder to shoulder, pious faces, burning incense and paper ingots, burning flames and rising smoke. The temple is brightly lit, filled with cigarettes, and the bells are ringing, and there is an aroma of Galand.
The incense began and the mighty team set off. I only heard the sound of gongs, drums and firecrackers. "Ma" (a person who pretends to be a horse) is shirtless, wearing a red trousers, with a pattern on his face, a long iron sign in his mouth (chewing on behalf of the horse), and an iron bar four or five feet long in his hand, bowing before God and waving the way. Followed by the incense team, the believers walked slowly in four rows with sachets on their backs and incense in their hands. I saw smoke and fog, as if I had entered a fairyland. Followed by the Xiang team is a drum band, with musicians wearing blue shirts and yellow belts around their waists, playing music with drums, plucked strings, sheng, Xiao, erhu and other musical instruments. Next, there is the largest number of makeup song and dance teams, and all kinds of songs and dances compete for beauty and beauty.
Those who play Woodenhead rely on a pole to carry a small table surrounded by pieces of cloth. Rows of long puppets are hung on the table, and a small curtain is hung in front of the table. The artist pulls the thread under the cloth block with one hand, knocks the gong with the other hand and sings lines in his mouth. The puppets on the stage were vividly performed. What "Pig Eight Rings Marry" and "Monkey King Thrice Defeats the Skeleton Demon" ... Jisheng and Dan.
At the end of the parade, the survivors were dressed in red prison uniforms, mumbling, kneeling three times and knocking five times, thanking the gods for their grace and praying for peace. The incense procession beat about the bush, making a noise, stopping for a while, stopping for a while, and slowly turning around the town for a week before returning to the Longwang Temple. At this time, it is already west of the red sun. ...
"March 3rd" is a temple fair and a place for gathering. There are stalls everywhere in Fiona Fang, where people eat, wear, use and play. Since the first month, foreign businessmen and craftsmen have flocked to Xianmiao from four townships and eight towns, including native products, agricultural and sideline products, farm tools and some small commodities.
Most of them are "kiln goods" and "fresh water". Kiln goods are vats, casseroles, jars, pots and pans in Yixing area, and fresh water is lotus root and water chestnut in Baoying area. Therefore, Jiangdu Collection on March 3rd is also called Kiln Goods Collection and Freshwater Collection. Tongzhou Dabu, a local household machine cloth, is also very popular. Almost all the people in the market are carrying the purchased items, especially the farmers, carrying the brand-new farm tools they bought, and they are beaming.
The "March 3rd" Longwang Temple Fair has become history with the passage of time, and it has been replaced by a new "March 3rd" temple fair with elaborate organization and large scale. At that time, merchants and people from Nanjing, Suzhou, Shanghai, Yangzhou and Jiangdu counties gathered in dozens of streets in Jiangdu Town. Some come to sell goods, some to buy things, some to watch the excitement, some to collect scenery, and some to talk about blind date. It was really crowded and busy and lasted for three days.
There are all kinds of commodities in the market, including grain and oil, cakes, fruits and local products; Skirts and underwear worn; Agriculture, water pumps, tractors, fertilizers, pesticides; Household, furniture, cookware, electrical appliances, cosmetics ... I'm afraid I can't buy it, but I'm afraid I can't think of it. I can buy all kinds of goods.
At night, the festive Jiangdu Town is a special scenery. All cultural places are brightly lit, gongs and drums are loud, and cafes, theaters, dance halls, skating rinks, playgrounds and parks abound; Yang Opera, Huai Opera, Huangmei Opera, famous troupes and red actors performed together.
These cultural and entertainment places have become a good place for people to exchange information, negotiate business and contact their feelings. It can be said that every temple fair broadens the horizons of Jiangdu people, makes Jiangdu people make friends, and makes Jiangdu, a thousand-year-old town, famous far and near.
Valentine's Day on March 3rd.
Valentine's Day on March 3rd of the lunar calendar: Valentine's Day on March 3rd has a long history. There is a poem to prove it. Li Bai's poem says: "When you swallow, Qin E dreams of breaking Qin Louyue; Qin family, every year in the second quarter of the moon, the willow color by the bridge is printed with seven windows for farewell. In the clear autumn festival in Leyuan Scenic Area, the ancient Xianyang Road is absolutely silent. "The annual willow color here refers to Valentine's Day on the third day of the third lunar month. Through this poem, we can see how romantic Valentine's Day is in China: a pair of lovers strolled picturesque, gave each other willows and whistled constantly on a beautiful spring day. What a good state! Not only that, a long time ago in our country, relatives and friends had the habit of giving gifts to each other when they parted, and there was a poem to prove it: "The willows gave them away for no reason. "Visible, love is willow, willow is love. The common people call the wandering waves of many lovers chasing flowers and asking for willows, which is from this. Today, although we can't see the love objects and scenes of ancient people, there are countless love poems and love songs that can make us memorable. In addition, among some ethnic minorities, the custom of singing on March 3rd still exists. Yunnan ethnic minorities, on the third day of the third lunar month, many beautiful boys and girls make love to songs in droves, give each other tokens and meet in the depths of the jungle. This scene is only similar to Valentine's Day in Europe and America.

At this time, ADB came, and they hid in a cave. When the master ordered the servants to burn to the cave, suddenly dark clouds rolled, thunder rumbled, rocks cracked, and landslides broke out, and the evil master and servants were killed. ADB and Miss Bailing became a pair of birds and flew into the sky. The villagers heard the news, looked at them, sang and danced excitedly, and wished them happiness.
