Recently, Wuxi Natural Resources and Planning Bureau announced the pre-approval of the master plans of Hongshan Tourism Resort and Cuiping Mountain Tourism Resort. There are two more good places in Wuxi in the future.

Master Plan of Wuxi Hongshan Tourist Resort

Planning scope: Gan Xi Road in the north, Wangyuhe River in the south, Zhenxing Road (Shenjiaqiaobang to Feng Fei Road) in the west and Caohu Lake (boundary) in the east, with a total area of 17.25 square kilometers.

Planning period: 20 19-2035, of which the recent period is 20 19 -2025.

Development goal: Relying on the construction of provincial-level tourist resorts, Hongshan tourist resort will be cultivated into a national-level tourist resort integrating intelligent ecological science popularization, intelligent cultural experience, intelligent leisure vacation and intelligent service.

Scale and capacity—

(1) Tourist quantity and scale: The planned number of tourists in the scenic spot is 20,000. The long-term annual tourist volume is1.20 ~1.8000.

(2) Land scale: By 2035, the total construction land scale of the resort will be about 357.98 hectares. Including 87.47 hectares for public facilities, 146.74 hectares for village construction, 16.98 hectares for urban residence, 5.43 hectares for roads and traffic facilities, 1.00 hectares for green space and squares, 83.68 hectares for regional infrastructure, 6.26 hectares for special purposes and 650 hectares for blank space.

Spatial structure: It is planned to form a spatial structure of "one body, two wings, one vein and six districts". "One Body with Two Wings": "One Body" is located in the middle of the resort and is the core of ecological culture with the theme of ecological culture. The "two wings" are the wisdom pastoral wings in the north and the leisure and holiday wings in the south. "One pulse and six districts": "One pulse" is an ecological corridor relying on Dubo Port-Wangyuhe River, and "six districts" are components of "one body and two wings", in which "one body" includes two functional areas, namely, Wu Culture Expo Park and Hongliang National Wetland Park, the wisdom pastoral wing consists of the wisdom pastoral area, and the leisure and holiday wing consists of three functional areas, namely, Wang Yu Huahai, Wisdom Yangkanggu and Hongdu Farm.

Landscape features: rural and pastoral features are the main features, forming a landscape pattern of "three horizontals, three verticals, five districts and multiple points". The countermeasures to optimize the landscape characteristics of water, field, garden, forest, road and residence are put forward.

Tourism and holiday industry: Based on the image of "the water town in the south of the Yangtze River, a blessed land of Hongshan Mountain" and supported by six categories of theme products: pastoral, culture, health, lohas, countryside and ecology, four boutique tourist routes are planned, namely "Wu Yun" cultural tour, "happy pastoral" parent-child tour, "full of vitality" healthy tour and "full of green" ecological tour.

Tourism service: build a three-level tourism service system with "two centers, four nodes and multiple stations". The "two centers" are Wuboyuan Tourism Service Center and Dafangqiao Tourism Service Center, the "four nodes" are Qifangqiao Tourism Service Point, Hongdu Tourism Service Point, Wetland Park Tourism Service Point and Wisdom Yangkanggu Tourism Service Point, and the "multi-stop" is 14 tourism service department combined with the slow stop according to the current situation and planned scenic spots.

Comprehensive traffic: The planning relies on the multi-level road system of regional traffic, main roads, secondary roads and branch roads, and builds an annular nested road network structure of "one big ring and five small rings".
