The Forbidden City in Beijing, formerly known as the Forbidden City, is the palace of 24 emperors of China in Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is an unparalleled masterpiece of ancient architecture and the largest and most complete ancient wooden structure complex in the world. Palace buildings in the Forbidden City are all made of wooden structures, with yellow glazed tiles at the top and blue-and-white stones at the base, which are decorated with brilliant colored paintings, and are known as one of the five largest palaces in the world. The courtyard is deep, the building is compact, self-contained and orderly.

Driving route: 1. From Yuqun Hutong to the west to Nanyang Hutong, 450 meters; 2. Turn left at East Street of Dafo Temple150m; 3. Turn right slightly at the south exit of the East Street of the Big Buddha Temple and enter the East Street of the Art Museum for 350 meters; 4.

2. Tiananmen Square

Tiananmen Square and Tiananmen Gate Tower overlook Chang 'an Avenue. Tiananmen Square is the center of Beijing, the heart of Beijing and the largest city center square in the world. It can accommodate 6,543,800 people for a grand gathering. The ground is completely paved with light-colored granite slats that have been treated by special technology. 3. Imperial College
Opening hours: 8: 30-17: 00 in peak season; Off-season 8: 30- 16: 30
Admission: 30 yuan.
This is the only existing ancient central state-owned university building in China. Imperial academy is the highest administrative organ of national management education and the highest institution of learning established by China in the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. Adjacent to Confucius Temple and Lama Temple. On both sides of imperial academy Street, the Huaiyin passageway, the east and west ends of the street, and the archways on both sides of imperial academy Gate are painted, which is the only ancient street with four archways in Beijing.

4. Shichahai
Opening hours: open all day.
Admission: free.
Shichahai, located in Xicheng District, Beijing, is composed of three connected lakes: Qianhai, Houhai and Xihai. It is called "Housan Lake" in history. Together with "the first three seas (South China Sea, China Sea and North Sea)", it constitutes the six major seawater systems in the inner city of Beijing. Shichahai is the largest of the 25 traditional protected areas in Beijing and the most representative area of Beijing's history and culture.

Self-driving route: drive along Di 'anmen West Street and turn right into Sanqiao Hutong; Drive along Sanqiao Hutong for 260 meters and turn left into Qianhai West Street. Drive along Qianhai West Street for 2 10 meters, turn right slightly and enter Liu Yin Street; Drive 280 meters along Liu Yin Street, pass the former site of Catholic Pastoral College on the right about 280 meters, and then turn left into Yangfang Hutong; Drive 200 meters along Yangfang Hutong, turn right and drive 20 meters to Shichahai.
5. Gubei Water Town
Opening hours: 9:00-23:00.
Admission: adult ticket 140 yuan.
Gubei Water Town is backed by Simatai Great Wall, the most beautiful and dangerous town in China, and sits on Yuanyang Lake Reservoir. It is a rare village with mountains and rivers in the suburbs of Beijing. The scenic spot retains the exquisite mountain courtyard architecture in the style of the Republic of China and is a typical northern tourist and holiday town.

Bus route: Take bus No.980 from Dongzhimen, get off at Miyun Xiqiao Station, transfer to bus No.37, get off at Simatai Village Station, and walk to Gubei Water Town.
Self-driving route: drive along Jingcheng Expressway for 460m, exit Laowa Bridge from Simatai Great Wall exit, turn right on the ramp, and turn right along the ramp for 500m; Drive 70 meters and turn left into Ma Bei Road; Drive along Ma Bei Road 1.9 km, turn right at the rear, drive for 20 meters, and reach the terminal.
6. Summer Palace
Opening hours: 6: 00-20: 00 in peak season; Off-season 6:30- 19:00

The Summer Palace is one of the largest and best-preserved royal gardens in China and one of the world-famous tourist attractions. The Summer Palace is a large-scale natural landscape garden with Kunming Lake and Wanshou Mountain as the background and the scenery of Hangzhou West Lake as the blueprint, drawing on some design techniques and artistic conception of Jiangnan gardens. It is called the Royal Garden Museum.

Bus route: Take Metro Line 4 and get off at Beigongmen (Beigongmen). You can also get off at Xiyuan and walk 500 meters west of Tongqing Street to the East Palace Gate (main entrance) of the Summer Palace.
7. Temple of Heaven
Opening hours: 6: 00-20: 00 in peak season; Off-season 6:30-22:00
Tickets: 15 yuan
The Temple of Heaven is divided into an inner altar and an outer altar. The inner altar consists of two parts, namely, the praying altar in the north and the praying altar in the south. A 360-meter-long single pen bridge connects the two altars. The main buildings of the two altars are concentrated at the two ends of the single bridge. There is an altar and a royal vault to pray for the New Year at the southern end of the single bridge, while there is a hall to pray for the New Year and a royal trunk at the northern end. 1957

8. Jingshan Park
Admission: 2 yuan.
Jingshan was founded in Liao and Jin Dynasties and has a history of nearly a thousand years. Jingshan is one of the oldest and best-preserved royal gardens in China. It used to be an important part of the palace. Jingshan is located in the center of Beijing, and Jingshan always retains the mountains of Liao Dynasty. The walls and palace gates of the Jin Dynasty; The ancient buildings of Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties are well preserved.

9. Beihai Park

Beihai Park is located in the central area of Beijing, on the west side of Jingshan Mountain and the northwest side of the Forbidden City. It is also known as the Three Seas with the Sea of China and the South China Sea. Beihai Park, founded in Liao, Jin and Yuan Dynasties, became a royal garden in Ming and Qing Dynasties, and it is one of the oldest, most complete, most comprehensive and most representative royal gardens in China.

Self-driving route: drive along Beichizi Street, cross Xuanren Temple on the right side for about 100 meters, then turn left and enter Jingshan Qianjie; Drive along Jingshan Qian Jie for 800 meters, and pass the Grand Hall on the right.

China National Museum has a collection of more than 6,543,800 pieces, covering ancient cultural relics, modern cultural relics, rare books, artworks and other categories.
