1 Zhoutie Ancient Town

Known as the hometown of No. 1 scholar and Professor Zhou Tie, it is called the first town outside Ximen in Wuxi.
In the ancient town, the most famous one is the thousand-year-old ginkgo tree, which is more than 1,700 years old. During the Three Kingdoms period, Sun Quan's tree was planted by his mother in 195 AD in memory of Sun Quan. At the age of 15, he visited Yixing as captain Fengyi. The tree is now 23.7 meters tall, with a root diameter of 1.44 meters and a canopy covering more than 400 square meters. Behind the ancient ginkgo tree is the Zhoutie Chenghuang Temple.
