What are the five scenic spots that Haikou must visit?
Haikou Bell Tower is a landmark building in Haikou and a symbol of the city. It was originally established to adapt to foreign trade. The bell tower was built in 1929 (Republic of China 18). It was built by the patriotic industrialist Mr. Zhou. The building is five stories high and the walls are made of red bricks and white lime.
Built in the scenic Haikou Children's Park, the Bell Tower stands alone on Chang Di Road, facing the estuary, facing Zhongshan Street opposite Zhongshan Road in the south and facing the west of Yunnan in the north. Today's Haikou Bell Tower was rebuilt by 1987 according to the original appearance of the old bell tower. After its completion, it became a major scenic spot in Haikou, named "Old Bell and New Sound".
The Leiqiong Haikou Volcano Group World Geopark is about 15km away from the urban area, with more than 40 Quaternary volcanoes. It is a natural geological museum. In the crater, you can overlook Haikou City and Qiongzhou Strait from the commanding heights of Haikou, and the scenery is charming. Walking on the scenic path, there are lush tropical plants along the road, and you can also see basalt.
