What can travel bring us?
That year, when I was fifteen years old, my father gave me a very big and exciting reward at that time-let me travel to our capital Beijing!
It was different then than it is now. Now, children have been taken by their parents to travel everywhere since childhood. At that time, I never left my city. As a child from the south, Beijing is too far away for me.
I was both excited and scared, because that trip was with the annual employee trip of my father's company, and my father gave me his quota, which means I will follow my uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters who I don't know to that distant Beijing and stay with them for eight or nine days. It is a great challenge for me who is introverted and shy by nature, and it can be said that it is the biggest challenge in my life so far.
As a result, I was taken good care of, and I also knew what the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square described in the original work looked like, and what the Grand View Garden in the Dream of Red Mansions looked like, although it was not a real prototype. Some things will stay in my heart after I have seen them, and then I will remember them as vividly as I heard the stories that happened in these places.
Learn how to get along with people, even after a few years, my father completely forgot his colleagues, saw my photo and asked who my uncle and aunt were. The most important thing about this trip is to awaken my heart to see the world.
The next year, I also took my sister to the city where my classmate's father worked. My classmate's family has a family business-Nanning Sugar Factory. We live in my classmate's house, which is another experience to overcome getting along with people outside the family, or our own introverted and afraid of communication.
In Nanning, I saw a large area of sugarcane fields and how sugar was produced. As for which province is rich in what in geography class, it is no longer so difficult to remember, as well as the economic and stock problems that I came into contact with later. "Where are the leading enterprises in the sugar industry?" What companies are there? "
So what can tourism bring us?
First, growth
For me personally, traveling makes me grow.
From the first time I went to Beijing, I learned how to get along with people without changing my introverted personality. Some things need to grow step by step.
The first trip in life is always unforgettable and exciting.
Later, I studied abroad. I worked in Guangzhou for some time before going abroad. Every weekend, I go back to my home in Shenzhen. My friends think that people who are so homesick can't live abroad alone. Turns out they were all wrong. I adapt to life abroad and often go to European countries by myself.
People often underestimate a person's ability to grow.
Planning a journey and overcoming the difficulties encountered in the journey are all tests for growth. It is difficult to experience growth without leaving home, familiar people and environment, and having someone to help you solve everything. Just like the first time I went to London, I went with a class of classmates. My classmates made all the arrangements. When I came back, I had no idea where I had been or how I took the subway.
Copywriter Li Xinpin told her personal experience. She is also a very introverted person. She usually stays at home. Until the summer when she 18 went to college, her parents signed her up for an American study tour program and spent a lot of energy persuading her to participate.
One day, she was shot on the road. At that time, she thought it was a movie, but later she knew it was really filmed. She was thinking about what would happen if she was accidentally shot and killed that day. There will always be some accidents in life and how to deal with them. From that day on, she regarded every day as the last day of her life, lived every day to the fullest, and put the questions she asked and the inspiration she received at that time into practice. From then on, she fell in love with traveling. By the time she was 30, she had been to 30 countries and published many books about life creativity. Many concepts in these books were inspired by her travel.
Second, open your eyes and your mind.
When you get out of your familiar environment, people will observe new things from a more agile perspective, or new things will more easily stimulate your inherent thinking and give you new inspiration. So traveling helps us broaden our horizons and broaden our thinking. If we can go everywhere, a country imagines itself as a place, and the impact of different humanities and history will make us not stick to the original cognition.
Jiang Xun's books on art history and literature are easy to understand. One of them is that he will explain what kind of background a work was created by understanding the life of a painter and an author, as well as the background and historical events of their times, so as to truly understand the meaning of the work, and add his own philosophical views to make readers read it interesting and relaxed.
He told a story about how to learn to interpret art in this way. When he was studying in France in the 1970s, when he was writing a thesis in the summer vacation, all the other students left school, but he stayed at school and tried to write a thesis. His tutor saw it and thought that he would appreciate his hard work. Unexpectedly, his tutor said, "You want to write the history of western art, and you haven't even seen these works with your own eyes. How can you understand how these works were created, and how can you write the real meaning behind them? "
The tutor's words made Mr. Jiang Xun immediately take up his backpack and run to Italy. It is said that there were only notebooks and pens in his backpack at that time, and there were some clothes to change. After he got off the train in Italy, he stood on the side of the road and hitchhiked to Florence.
When he finally stood under David's sculpture, he was moved to tears. Only then did I understand the meaning of "running away" (traveling). When I read his book about solving the mystery of Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, I was moved to tears.
Third, creativity.
I often feel very strange. I have written many articles about travel, but I have stayed in England for several years without writing. Maybe if you are familiar with a place, you will lose the discovery of its beauty, just like if you want to write about your city, nothing can be squeezed out just by thinking about it. Often when you just arrive at a new place, you can find its beauty from different angles.
This is not difficult to explain from the experience of German photographer Wang Xiaohui. Wang Xiaohui wrote in her book Ten Years in Germany that when she first arrived in Germany, she often went out to shoot. Soon, her photos were published in many magazines and invited to shoot promotional videos in some countries? She also thought that there is never a shortage of professional photographers in Germany. Why can she, a person who has just arrived in Germany, take photos that can be published in magazines, make magazines trust her and invite her to shoot promotional videos in a certain country? One of the reasons is that a newcomer can observe and interpret a place from different angles and discover the beauty of this place, that is, he can discover beauty more creatively.
Travel often brings us into a new environment, collides with our new perspective and brings us more creativity.
Just like my travel articles, you can only have these materials when you go out. Now these materials have become the source of my writing, painting and design. Even if I didn't create it right away, inspiration is pouring out now.
Throughout the ancients, we grew up reading the poems of the poet Li Bai. If Li Bai hadn't really been to Lushan Mountain and seen the waterfall, I doubt that he would have written such a quatrain as "Flying down three thousands of feet, it is suspected that the Milky Way has set for nine days".
There are Shen Kuo's Meng Qian Bi Tan and Xu Xiake's Travel Notes, all of which come from traveling all over Qian Shan.
What can tourism bring us? I believe everyone will have their own answers. I believe that going out will bring you an interesting stroke in your life, just like a travel reward given by my father awakened my heart to see the world.
