Can the tour group get a refund?

Legal analysis: tourists who can't travel due to illness can ask the travel agency to refund the tour fee.

Legal basis: Provisions on Several Issues Concerning the Application of Laws in the Trial of Tourism Dispute Cases Article 12 Before or during the tour, the people's court shall support the tourists who unilaterally terminate the contract and request the tour operators to refund the expenses that did not actually occur, or the tour operators request the tourists to pay reasonable expenses. If the tourist terminates the contract before the end of the tour, the travel agency will refund the balance after deducting the necessary expenses.

Article 65 of the Tourism Law of the People's Republic of China If a tourist terminates the contract before the end of the tour, the package travel agency shall return the balance to the tourist after deducting the necessary expenses.
