Seda Larong Wuming Buddhist College is located in Luoruo Township, sertar county, about 20 kilometers away from Seda County. It is the largest Buddhist college in the world. Thousands of cabins here are as dense as ant nests all over the hillside. At first glance, each house seems to be similar in color and structure, and it is layered from the bottom of the valley to the ridge. The whole Buddhist college has a large area and many paths, so you can visit it casually. On the hillside covered with prayer flags in the southwest of the prayer wheel, you can overlook the whole Buddhist College, where you can have a panoramic view of the whole Buddhist College.
The Buddhist temples in the Buddhist College are all crimson cabins, centered on Dajingtang of the Buddhist College, and densely built in valleys surrounded by mountains. A large number of crimson huts on the hillside are undulating and spectacular. There are about 5000 monks and nuns living in these huts, including Zaba (a monk) and Juemu (a monk). Sedafo College is called the last pure land in the world, because people here only do one thing in their lives, that is, practice.
2. Seda Celestial Burial Platform
Seda Celestial Burial Platform is located between sertar county and Buddhist College. It was built next to a small white tower on a relatively flat gentle slope in the middle of the mountain, and a flat land as big as a basketball court was surrounded by iron railings. That's where the sky was buried. Celestial burial is a custom of Tibetans, that is, the body of the deceased is provided to vultures, who eat it and fly into the sky. Tibetans believe that this is the success of the deceased's ascension to heaven.
The Regulations on Celestial Burials in Tibet stipulates that tourists are not allowed to watch celestial burial, so it is entirely a personal act to watch celestial burial. It takes courage and endurance to watch the celestial burial in Seda. The scene is a bit scary, and the smell of the scene is unacceptable. The usual procedure of celestial burial is as follows: after death, people will die for several days, and the Lama will be asked to recite the scriptures and choose a funeral day. The celestial burial master immediately stripped the body of clothes, dismembered the body according to certain procedures, and stripped the bones. Finally, the vultures were whistled and fed in the order of bone and meat.
3. Tancheng
Tancheng is located on the highest mountain in Seda Larong Wuming Buddhist College. It originated from the tantric Buddhism in India and is the Dojo where tantric gods and their families gather. Tancheng means circle in Sanskrit and center and edge in Tibetan. The external meaning of Tancheng refers to the pure land palace of Buddha and Bodhisattva, and the internal meaning refers to the purity of the souls of all beings. The Buddha in the center of Pure Land Palace is the original pure Buddha nature of all living beings. Therefore, Tancheng not only symbolizes the wisdom and wisdom of the gods, but also shows the truth of the universe and life. It is a subtle Kong Wen of the "infinite universe" and the "inner small universe".
In the hearts of Tibetans, Tancheng is a place to spread happiness and pray for Tibetans. It is also the largest and only revolving Tancheng in the world. It has three floors, and ordinary people change at 1 and the second floor. The 1 floor is a meridian corridor with a circle of meridian pipes. Every morning and evening, people circle here, class one 10800, class two 1080 and class three 108_ pray. On the open space next to the altar city, there are always devout believers kowtowing, and the college specially placed wooden boards on the platform of 1 floor for this purpose.
4. Dongga Temple
Dongga Temple is located on Dongga Mountain in Jinma Grassland, sertar county. It is one of the famous white jade temples handed down by Ma Ning Sect of Tibetan Buddhism, and it is listed as one of the three major temples in Seda. It was founded by Dongga Rinpoche, the first incarnation of Guanyin Bodhisattva, in the 24th year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (1686). It is the largest and most influential Gelugpa temple here, and it is also a temple of great significance in the modern history of Tibet. Every year, various Buddhist ceremonies are held in the temple, especially during the Lotus Master's Blessing Ceremony held from March 1 Sunday to March 10. Monks chanted scriptures to pray for world peace and the well-being of all beings, and performed Tibetan opera, diamond dance and other Buddhist activities, which was unprecedented.
Dongga Temple, the first of the thirteen ancient and modern Seda temples, is protected by the Seda clan in Vasu. It used to be the political, religious and cultural center of Seda, Vasu, with a history of more than 300 years. During this period, many eminent monks and great virtues used it to listen, think, do, speak, argue and write, presided over the subtle and harmonious teachings of the Buddha, and cultivated many successful people who preached Sanzang and practiced the rainbow style in dzogchen. There is a sitting statue of Sakyamuni in the hall, religious murals painted on three sides, and dragons and flowers carved on red columns. The colors are dazzling and the atmosphere is solemn. There is a Buddhist Thangka in the temple, a cultural relic of the late Qing Dynasty. The mural art in the temple has unique ornamental research value.
5. Seda Grassland
Seda Grassland is located in sertar county, located in the upper reaches of Dadu River, Yalong River and Jinsha River, and is the main water system of the Yangtze River. Together with Zhaxika grassland in Shiqu of Ganzi Tibetan area, it constitutes the most famous natural pasture in China. Along the upper reaches of the Seku River, there are hundreds of grass ditches on both sides of the river, with rich grass and wild flowers of various colors, and the undulating ridges extend in the east-west direction. There are black yaks and white sheep flowing like notes, and pastoral songs are sometimes as soft as clouds when they are blown by the wind.
6. Deng Deng climbed the stupa
Dengdengqu Dengfo Pagoda, which means magical pagoda in Tibetan, is located in Seke Town, sertar county, about 1.5km away from Seda County. Built in the year of the Tibetan Iron Hunting (A.D. 19 13), it is the highest Tibetan Buddhist stupa in Sichuan Province and the largest in Tibetan areas. According to legend, this tower is the Dakini of Seda the Year of the Loong Temple. It is dreamt that Gadu, the hereditary head of Seda Vasu, and Solang Wu Luo, the Lama, were built to exorcise evil spirits, eliminate disasters and solve problems, and make all beings prosperous and peaceful. It is the highest pagoda of Tibetan Buddhism in Sichuan Province. Every year, pilgrims from Qinghai, Gansu, Tibet and the north and south roads in the state come in an endless stream.
The main building of Dengdengqu Dengfo Pagoda is 52 meters high, with an inner circle and an outer circle, which are stacked at random. It has distinctive local characteristics, strong religious color and unique artistic style. There is a 155 prayer turning room on the periphery of the first floor of the stupa, which is arranged around for the masses to turn the prayer. There are all kinds of shrines on the tower surface, which are gorgeous and dazzling. There are five encyclopedias of Dalagni and Buddhism that have been written 1000 times, and several historical sites. Among them, during the Tubo Dynasty, when the thirty-third generation Tibetan king Songzan Gambu, one of the seven sages in Tibetan history, Tunmi Sambuza went to India to learn from the scriptures and translated them into Tibetan scriptures.
