Research paper on Huizhou tourism resources

First of all, the questions raised

Tourism is known as "eternal sunrise industry" because of its great development potential. However, where is the focus of future tourism development? Looking at today's tourism industry, "returning to simplicity" has become a new trend in tourism. The world is entering the "environmental protection era" and "green era", and green is becoming the popular color in 2 1 century. Therefore, more and more tourists turn their attention to "green" tourism with natural flavor and meeting their various needs.

After more than 20 years of development, Huizhou tourism has formed a certain industrial scale and enjoys a high reputation at home and abroad. In the past three years, the city's total tourism revenue has grown at an average annual rate of 15%. In 200 1 year, the city's tourism income reached 2.703 billion yuan, foreign exchange income was 56 104 1000, and the total number of night tourists reached 2.4703 million. It is predicted that the total number of inbound tourists in Huizhou will reach 4.865 million in 2005 and 9.083 million in 20 10, and the capacity of its tourism resources will also increase from 390.0 in 2000 to 870.8 and 20 1880.2 in 2005. It can be predicted that Huizhou's tourism will soon enter a stage of rapid development in 2 1 century. How to choose a tourism "broad road" that not only conforms to the development trend of the times, but also integrates the concept of sustainable development, and finally realizes the harmonious development between man and nature (the relationship between man and land) is a major issue facing the development of tourism in Huizhou.

Second, about green tourism.

Nowadays, "green" is regarded as a symbol of civilization and is respected, loved and protected by human beings all over the world. It is also in such a "green worship" atmosphere that green economy, green consumption, green marketing and green GDP have set off a "green revolution storm" on a global scale, and green tourism is among them.

(A) the definition of green tourism

There are broad and narrow definitions of green tourism. Green tourism in a broad sense refers to all kinds of pro-environment or environmentally friendly tourism products and services. Green tourism in a narrow sense is rural tourism, that is, activities that take place in rural areas, mountainous areas and fishing villages. The green tourism discussed in this paper is generalized.

(B) the connotation of green tourism

"Green" is often used to describe the connotations of "environmental protection", "return to nature" and "life". "Green tourism" is only a figurative statement, which is used to guide the development direction of tourism enterprises in environmental management. It can be understood as similar to the concepts of sustainable tourism and eco-tourism, that is, while providing comfortable, safe and healthy products for the society, we should make rational use of resources and protect the ecological environment with a responsible attitude towards society and the environment. Green tourism integrates the concept of sustainable development and runs through the idea of harmonious coexistence between man and land. Therefore, the so-called green tourism means that participants including tourists, restaurants, scenic spot managers, travel agencies and tour guides should respect nature and protect the environment in all aspects of the whole tourism process. Green tourism is based on understanding, protecting and not destroying the natural ecological balance. It is a comprehensive embodiment of economic development, social harmony and environmental value. It requires operators and tourists to raise their awareness of environmental protection. At the present stage, the construction and development of China's tourism enterprises need to consider the minimum damage to the environment and the minimum consumption of resources and energy in the course of operation, provide green tourism products to customers, actively participate in environmental protection and tourism resources protection activities, properly handle the relationship between protection and development and utilization, and realize the "win-win" of social, economic and ecological benefits. As a tourist, it is to ensure your own safety, not to harm animals and plants, to consume green and to protect the environment at the same time.

As a new form of tourism, green tourism has multiple functions such as sightseeing, vacation, rest, scientific investigation, exploration and popular science education. For tourists, it is not only a pleasant experience, but also a learning experience. It does not simply use the natural environment, but relies on the parallel relationship between nature and tourism, and travels on the basis of awe of nature and environmental awareness. It increases the opportunities for tourists to get close to nature and deepens people's understanding of life.

(3) Green certification system

Green tourism pursues the road of sustainable development. With the development of tourism, the infrastructure construction of tourist destinations has been strengthened, the income of local people has increased, natural and cultural heritage has been effectively protected, and exchanges between tourists and people in tourist destinations have been realized. Therefore, the tourism industry in 2 1 century will implement stricter environmental management standards. At the same time, with the improvement of people's awareness of environmental protection, tourists will consciously seek "green vacation" and environmental protection tourism services. Based on this demand, the World Travel and Tourism Council, the world's largest travel and tourism industry leader organization, began to advocate the implementation of "ISO 14000" series standards and "Green Earth 2 1" certification in the tourism industry in the early 1990s. Nowadays, "ISO 14000" and "Green Earth 2 1" have become internationally recognized certification marks for the sustainable management of environmental quality in the travel and tourism industry, which are the magic weapon for the sustainable development of tourism and the stepping stone for the tourism industry to enhance its competitiveness and enter the international market.

Third, the advantages of developing green tourism in Huizhou

(A) the advantages of green landscape

In view of the problem that human beings violate the laws of natural science, destroy the ecological environment and endanger the sustainable development of society, it is of more practical social significance to popularize green landscape and develop green tourism.

Huizhou City is located in the south of Guangdong Province, at the northeast end of the Pearl River Delta, near Daya Bay in the South China Sea and adjacent to Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Geographical coordinates range from east longitude 1 13 9' to north latitude 1 15 5' to north latitude 22 3 7'.

In terms of natural environment, Huizhou has "undulating terrain, abundant rainfall, lush forests and pleasant environment", and its superior natural environment has given birth to rich and unique tourist scenic resources. There are more than 900 scenic spots with tourism development potential in the city, which belong to the high-density distribution area of scenic spots and have the characteristics of resource diversity. It integrates mountains, rivers, lakes, seas, springs, waterfalls, forests, streams and islands, while green mountains and green waters, blue seas and silver sands and hot springs integrate natural and human landscapes. Since ancient times, it has been called "a famous county in Lingnan" and has been included in it. Oases on the Tropic of Cancer-Nankun Mountain, Oriental Hawaii-xunliao bay, Huizhou West Lake, the only turtle nature reserve in China.

Green landscape and Huizhou's vast area, diverse landforms and rich biological populations constitute a gorgeous natural landscape and a balanced and harmonious ecological environment, which provides a very superior resource condition for Huizhou to develop green tourism.

(B) the advantages of a national garden city

Huizhou, following the natural landscape pattern, plant ecological elements and the reality of urban built-up areas of its own city, formulated a feasible greening system planning model in 1998-"two rings, four districts, one center, one network, six blocks and eight parks". Huizhou has always been known for its beautiful mountains and rivers. The overall planning of Huizhou highlights the green landscape, respects the ecological elements of mountains and rivers, combines the distribution of mountains and rivers, protects the natural landscape, and vigorously implements the beautification, beautification and fragrance of mountain gardens. In addition to individual municipal construction, greening is strictly controlled in urban natural mountains. For example, the mountain system near the lake "peaks on the side of the ridge, with different heights" forms different landscape compositions against the background of buildings, water bodies and forest belts. The white-cloud-shrouded peak, verdant suspended mountain, towering snail mountain, lion-shaped lion mountain and dragon-shaped Taibao Mountain ... make Huizhou look like a "half-city mountain and half-city lake".

(C) the advantages of green medals

In recent years, Huizhou has made outstanding achievements in creating green medals. In 2003, Huizhou made a strategic adjustment to its administrative divisions. Huiyang withdrew from the city and set up a district. The urban area extends from the coast of "Two Rivers" to Daya Bay, with an area of 5 times, reaching 2,672 square kilometers, realizing the leap from cities along the river to coastal cities and entering the ranks of national second-class cities. On the basis of winning gold medals such as Excellent Tourist City in China, National Garden City, National Environmental Protection Model City, National Health City, National Double Support Model City, National Top Ten Cities for Afforestation and Greening, and China Model Award for Human Settlements, in 2003, it won two honors: Civilized City in the whole province and National Double Support Model City.

Fourthly, the idea of developing green tourism.

Choosing the sustainable development path of green tourism, excavating the green connotation of tourism resources, launching green products and changing resource advantages into product advantages are the key topics of Huizhou tourism-related departments. The author thinks that Huizhou can develop green tourism from the following aspects.

(1) Strive for green certification and create a green hotel.

Green hotel standards are divided into five grades: Grade A to AAAAA * * *, marked with Ginkgo biloba leaves with China characteristics, in which Grade A means that the hotel complies with national laws and regulations on environmental protection, hygiene and safety, and the highest Grade 5A means that the ecological benefits of the hotel are in a leading position in the world hotel industry. While striving for ISO 14000 standard system certification, Huizhou hotel industry should effectively improve the "green" components in its service, strengthen environmental protection and rational use of resources in the production process on the basis of providing customers with green rooms and green restaurants that meet the requirements of safety, health and environmental protection, and strictly follow the rules for establishing green hotels, so as to strive for more hotels of different levels to pass the green hotel certification in a short time.

(2) Developing green tourism commodities and green catering.

Huizhou is located in the Pearl River Delta, surrounded by mountains and waters. The superior geographical location makes Huizhou rich in products, with a complete range of fruits and foods in Lingnan. Many of them are unique local products in Huizhou, which have become a must-buy for tourists at home and abroad. Abundant biological resources provide sufficient raw materials for developing green tourism commodities and green diets. In addition to maintaining and inheriting traditional local products, handicrafts and local diets, we should also make use of these rich raw materials to vigorously develop new pollution-free green products, such as preserved fruits, Chinese patent medicine diets, green dried vegetables and pickles. At the same time, establish a green concept, brand awareness, improve the processing technology and product packaging level, and create a number of green products, such as Shiba Inu Sanhuang Chicken, Huizhou Plum Vegetable, Luofushan Crispy Laolai, Luofushan Herb Oil, Dongjiang Glutinous Rice Wine, Nankun Mountain Guanyin Vegetable, Longmen Bamboo Shoots, Boluo Preserved Fruit, etc.

(3) Taking the development of forest tourism as an opportunity to strengthen the development of green scenic spots.

"The earth calls for green, and human beings long for forests", and going to nature has become a consumption fashion for people in 2 1 century. Huizhou has a vast land with an area of 1 1 158 square kilometers, dense forests and a forest coverage rate of 59.8%. There are also virgin forests with island distribution, which are rich in wildlife resources, including two nature reserves and a national forest park, with a total area of 158438+00000 hectares. The main wildlife species are tigers, leopards, wild boars, yellow foxes, goats, pangolins, porcupines, otters, scarabs, blue-faced monkeys, water deer and so on 100. There are more than 80 kinds of birds, such as Shan Ying, grouse, tits and woodpeckers. There are many kinds of wild plants, most of which are distributed in natural forests. Evergreen broad-leaved forest and mixed coniferous and broad-leaved forest are well preserved and are called "green pearls on the Tropic of Cancer".

At present, according to the characteristics of forest tourism, we should develop forest tourism products such as mountain scenery tourism, bird watching tourism and forest plant investigation, and fully tap the advantages of forest tourism resources. At the same time, strengthen the development and construction of forest parks, resolutely implement the concept of sustainable development in the development, construction and management of scenic spots, carefully follow the rules of ISO 14000 standard series and Green Globe 2 1 standard series, carefully design and create a good green environment, and adopt "addition" (artificial planting to cultivate trees, medicinal materials and other "colored".

(4) Implementing green marketing and creating green products.

Professor Ken Beatty of the University of Wales believes that "green marketing" is a management process that can identify, foresee and meet the social needs of consumption, and can bring profits and sustainable management. Undoubtedly, the development of green tourism needs green marketing. Huizhou tourism provides consumers with green products, creates green hotels, green scenic spots and designs green tourist routes. This is not only the need of enterprise's own competition and survival and development, but also the need of Huizhou tourism going abroad and connecting with international tourism, and the need of sustainable development of tourism. In this regard, Huizhou travel agencies and other departments should strengthen close cooperation with the municipal government and other related enterprises, and formulate flexible green marketing strategies, green promotion strategies and specific promotion plans according to Huizhou's "Tenth Five-Year Plan" development outline, urban planning and regional tourism development strategies to meet market demand and create more green tourism products.

(five) the implementation of green management, enhance the green awareness of tourists.

At present, the ecological awareness of Chinese tourists is generally not strong. To improve the environmental awareness of the whole nation, we must vigorously carry out publicity and education on environmental protection knowledge, improve the social awareness and environmental ethics level of tourism environment, and urge everyone to improve and protect the whole tourism resources and environmental system with good environmental ethics practice. Tourism enterprises should strive to guide tourists to improve their concept of protecting nature, exchange environmental protection knowledge with tourists, set up some signs in tourist destinations, explain the mysteries of nature, publicize and protect nature, and let tourists enhance their awareness of environmental protection and enhance their consciousness and initiative in protecting the ecological environment. Tourists should actively participate in various beneficial activities to protect the natural ecology, understand the requirements of nature for people through tourism practice, clearly understand the relationship between their daily life and the environment, enhance their awareness of environmental protection in the tourism activities of returning to nature and purifying their souls, consciously protect the tourism environment and tourism resources, and do their best to protect the environment.
