Day 7: Visit Stockholm, Sweden

1. Stockholm

Stockholm is the capital of Sweden. It is home to the official palaces of the national government, parliament and the royal family. It is a world-famous international metropolis.

"Stek" means wood, and "ermo" means "city-state". Located on the east coast of Sweden, close to the Baltic Sea and where Lake M?laren enters the sea, it has beautiful scenery and is a famous tourist attraction. The urban area is distributed on 14 islands and a peninsula. More than 70 bridges connect these islands into one, so it enjoys the reputation of "Venice of the North".

Stockholm is the hometown of Alfred Nobel. Since 1901, on the anniversary of Nobel's death on December 10 every year, the King of Sweden has personally awarded the Nobel Prize winners and held a dinner at the City Hall.

2. Stockholm City Hall

Stockholm City Hall is located on King's Island. It was built in 1911 and took 12 years to complete. It is the most important work of Swedish architecture. The main body is built of red bricks, and on the top of the tall bell tower on the right side is the golden triple crown representing Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

The building faces the water on both sides, and the towers form a strong contrast with the podium spread out along the water. Coupled with the highly decorative longitudinal strip windows, the entire building is like a sailing ship, magnificent and elegant. , beautiful.

1. The Blue Hall is not blue

As soon as you enter the Blue Hall, the Nobel Prize will be awarded on December 10, the day of Nobel’s death every year. After the Nobel Prize is awarded, the King and Queen of Sweden will hold a grand banquet for the Nobel Prize winner in the banquet hall to express their warm congratulations. Today, this place has become the lifelong pursuit and goal of many experts in the fields of physics, chemistry, medicine, economics, and literature in the world.

The designer originally planned to lay a blue mosaic outside the red bricks, which is also the color of the Swedish flag. As a result, after seeing the beautiful traditional Swedish handmade red bricks, I gave up the original idea, so the Blue Hall is not blue became a story about inheriting traditional Swedish culture.

Here is the largest pipe organ in the world. The pipes of the pipe organ are cleverly inlaid on the top of the open corridor on the second floor and decorated with a golden outer cover. There are 10,270 pipes inside. When a grand banquet is held in the Blue Hall, the huge pipe organ on the roof emits beautiful music that echoes in the hall, adding a lot of grand atmosphere to the banquet.

2. City Hall Designer

The City Hall designer is Ragnar O, the famous architect and the enlightenment master of the Swedish national romantic movement, who is known as the "geek". Designed by Strberg, the statue of Ragnar ?stberg is embedded at the end of the corridor on the second floor. All his efforts were dedicated to the beautification and architectural culture of Swedish cities.

3. Make a wish in the wishing well in the Nobel Prize Hall

4. Golden Hall

The Golden Hall is about 25 meters deep. The sandwich technique is used, with gold foil sandwiched between two pieces of glass, and 18 million pieces of various colored "sandwiches" of about 1 cm each are used to frame the murals. This not only greatly reduces the amount of gold used in the entire gold hall, but also keeps the gold foil from fading. It is shrouded in countless halos and magnificent, but only 10.5 kilograms of gold are used.

Above the large mural on the center wall sits the goddess of Lake Malaren in high spirits. The Lady of Lake Malaren is the patron saint of Stockholm. She holds a scepter in her right hand, a crown in her left hand, and a building representing Stockholm on her lap. There are two groups of figures on both sides of the goddess, approaching her from the left and right respectively. The group on the right is of Europeans, and the group on the left is of Asians. It means that Stockholm is a beautiful place that all mankind yearns for. On the left is a Chinese man wearing Qing Dynasty costumes, said to be Kang Youwei.

This mosaic mural symbolizes the birth of Stockholm from the union of Lake M?ren and the Baltic Sea. It is not only an artistic masterpiece that combines realism and romanticism, but also the "treasure of the town hall" of the city hall.

The walls around the entire hall are inlaid with murals with historical themes. The left wall narrates and the right wall narrates people, respectively showing various periods in Swedish history from the pirate era and important events in Swedish history. figure.

5. Marriage Registration Hall

Swedes regard Stockholm City Hall as their proud and sacred place. The marriage registration hall here requires an appointment one year in advance. The citizens of Stockholm received not only a marriage certificate from here, but also deep affection and blessings for this beautiful city.

6. Parliament Hall

The top of the Parliament Hall is very creatively designed. The translucent skylight represents the members' need to "open the windows and speak clearly" and speak out for the people; there are also The sun, moon and stars are painted to show that the topics discussed in the parliament have no shady content.

The seats of the members are fixed, and there are auditorium seats next to them. Everyone can come and observe the meetings of the members. Now every meeting is broadcast live on television, so almost no one comes to observe.

Of the 101 speakers, 50 are women. Women can also play an important role in governing the country and promoting the advancement of history.

7. God of Song and God of Dance

The City Hall faces Knight Island across the water.

There are two statues on both sides of the platform near the water, representing the God of Song and the God of Dance respectively.

3. Overnight cruise

Along the way from the fairy tale kingdom of Denmark to the picturesque Norway, I did not visit the natural scenery in Sweden. The crispy pork for lunch at noon is still Evocative.

The blue water gently laps the seaside embankment, and various cruise ships are docked at the port. Under the blue sky and white clouds, various Nordic-style buildings are beautifully decorated with colorful flowers. Beautiful.

Sitting on the shore, the sea breeze blowing slowly, Sweden is soothing and calm, and the days of quiet time are really unforgettable.

Go to the pier at 7pm and board a five-star luxury night cruise ship

The "Viking" sails from Sweden to the ancient capital of Finland - Turku, and stays overnight on the cruise ship.

This section of the sea is not vast as far as the eye can see. There are many small islands, and with the afterglow, they have a unique flavor. My friend and I stayed until the sunset.

It was already 22 o'clock, and my friend said: "She really wants to drink tonight!" When we came to the restaurant, the lights were still bright. There are not many tourists inside, but there are many ice creams and various exquisite snacks. We each poured a glass of red wine, sat in a quiet corner, slowly sipping ice cream, chatting without any grudges, and feeling very comfortable and sincere. It's like returning to girlhood.

We haven’t seen each other for several years. She is raising her grandson in Shanghai, and I am raising my grandson in Beijing. I have watched her son grow up. Therefore, my friend traveled with me this time, and her son was also very supportive.

As time goes by, emotions become softer. In this way, let simple happiness flow in mutual trust; let the unhappiness encountered disappear in the listening of friends. It is enough to have a few confidants like this in life.

I don’t usually drink, but I had a drink tonight. My whole body felt relaxed. When I returned to the cabin, I fell asleep in a daze.
