Generally quiet and carefree, generally fresh and moist. It is the most attractive symbol of Jiangnan. Speaking of Xitang, many people yearn for it.

Perhaps I have a unique attachment to the water towns in the south of the Yangtze River, so going to Xitang three times a year won't be boring.

Every time I come to Xitang, I can't bear to stay up late. When the ancient town just woke up, when the vendors in the alley just put out, when the first ray of sunshine shone on the calm water, it was the most beautiful morning in Xitang. I am greedy for this tranquility, walking in several alleys, as if the whole ancient town belongs to me.

As the sun sets, people flock to the small bridges on both sides of the misty and rainy corridor, and photographers are worried about not finding good seats. And I recommend the westernmost bridge in the ancient town. The antique eaves complement the sunset glow in the distance.

2. Put on costumes and send lanterns to Song Cheng for the New Year.

5. Enjoy the plum blossoms in the garden and visit Qinhuai at night.

I always feel a little heavy when I hear the place "Nanjing". The Presidential Palace, Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum and Museum are always places where people who love history must punch in when they come to Nanjing.

And I want to recommend Nanjing this time, but it's because I'm in the garden. Zhan Garden is located near Qinhuai, Confucius Temple, Qinhuai District, Nanjing. It is the oldest existing Ming Dynasty classical garden in Nanjing and the four famous gardens in the south of the Yangtze River. Zhan Garden is the only open palace in Ming Dynasty. During the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, this was the palace of East Wang Yang. Like most gardens in the south of the Yangtze River, its evolution is complicated and its appearance has changed. Although the exhibition garden is small, it is quite distinctive. Mountains, water and rocks are the main landscapes of the exhibition garden.

When I visit the garden, I never look at the guide map. Walking in rockeries, pavilions and attics always feels like a village with a bright future. It happened that it was snowing when I arrived at Zhanyuan. Chimonanthus praecox is in full bloom, but plum blossoms are in bud. By the Spring Festival, the garden full of plum blossoms will be more beautiful. Visit the park during the day and the Qinhuai River at night. Although the street is not long, it carries many legends and stories in history.

6. Follow the legend of Jigong to find the birthplace of the living Buddha.

When I was a child, I was brainwashed by this song that spread all over the streets. I always remember this is a very interesting monk, drinking and eating meat everywhere. I believe that most people, like me, are very familiar with Jigong, but they are unfamiliar with the origin of this legend.

Tiantai is the birthplace of Jigong Living Buddha. So there are many places related to Jigong-Jigong's former residence, Chicheng Mountain (where Jigong studied and became enlightened) and Xiaogu Temple (where Jigong became a monk at that time).
