The reason of strong westerly wind in Ebinur Lake
I. Reasons
The narrow tube effect of topography has the greatest influence on aggravating the relationship between wind speed; In winter, influenced by the Siberian cold high in Mongolia, Alashankou is close to the source of winter wind, which leads to strong wind and undulating terrain, leading to a downward trend of cold air, an increase in wind speed and low vegetation coverage, resulting in low resistance.
Second, Ebinur Lake.
Ebinur Lake is the largest saltwater lake in Xinjiang and the largest lake in Junggar Basin. The Mongolian language of Moxi is Abinur, which is sunny, Naoer is a lake and Abinur is a Chaoyang lake. Located 35km north of Jinghe County, it is adjacent to Jinghe-Alashankou section of Lanzhou-Xinjiang Railway in the west, 35km north of Alashankou and east of Ganjiahu Haloxylon Nature Reserve.
2. Bortala River, Jinghe River and Kuitun River are injected into Ebinur Lake from the west, south and east respectively, becoming the main water sources of the lake. The lake is oval, covering an area of 650 square kilometers, with an average depth of 2-3 meters and an altitude of 189 meters.
3. In the early days of the People's Republic of China, the lake area was 1.200 square kilometers, but now it has shrunk to about 500 square kilometers. The degree of desertification in the lakeside area has become one of the main sources of sandstorms in western China, which directly threatens the sustainable development of the economic belt on the northern slope of Tianshan Mountain and the safe operation of the new Eurasian continental bridge.
Three. resources
Ebinur Lake is a lake rich in resources. The lake area is rich in nonmetallic minerals such as salt, arsenic nitrate, magnesium sulfate, boron, bromine and iodine. The reserves of sodium salt are 65.438+0.25 billion tons, potassium salt is more than 2 million tons, arsenic nitrate is 97 million tons, and magnesium sulfate is 65.438+0 billion tons. This is an important producing area of salt and arsenic in Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture.
2. After careful demonstration by experts, the potential economic value of salt and Artemia in Ebinur Lake is about 1 trillion yuan. The dense reeds along Ebinur Lake are valuable resources for paper industry and construction industry. Wild animals such as cranes, swans, wild ducks and muskrats in secondary forests are not only precious species resources, but also provide a broad space for the development of tourism.
