Tibet tourist routes

Tibet has a vast territory, spectacular landforms and rich tourism resources. So how to travel to Tibet and how to play, let's take a look at the recommendations of Tibet tourist routes.

Recommended tourist route in Tibet D 1 Lhasa: Jokhang Temple > Barkhor Street.

Tickets for Potala Palace are now on sale in official website. Tickets in the peak season are relatively tight, and they are relatively easy to buy in the off-season. Go to Jokhang Temple in the morning. Jokhang Temple is located in the center of the old city of Lhasa, surrounded by Barkhor Street, with the main entrance facing west. There are large butter lamps, Buddha statues when Sakyamuni was alive and other important representative landscapes of Tibetan Buddhism in the temple. The tour should follow the guidance of the staff and don't take pictures at will. After coming out of Jokhang Temple, you can take a clockwise tour along Barkhor Street outside the gate to appreciate the cultural customs of Tibetan characteristic buildings and turnstiles.

Dining: Yogurt, Buttered Tea, Highland Barley Wine, Ciba, Masala Chicken, Curry Rice, Nanxun and Namaste.

Life in Lhasa is slow, and restaurants and teahouses are everywhere. There are many famous Tibetan restaurants in Barkhor Street and its surrounding streets. Because the eating habits in Tibet are very different from those in the mainland, most of these restaurants have improved their food markets to make them acceptable to mainlanders.

Accommodation: Recommended accommodation area: Barkhor Street.

Recommend an inn on Barkhor Street or an inn or hotel on Beijing Road, which is close to sightseeing places and convenient for taking a taxi. You can stroll around Barkhor Street when you go out, and there are many snacks in restaurants.

D2 Lhasa: Potala Palace > Sera Temple

Potala Palace is the most sacred palace for Tibetans. The palace is divided into the White House and the Red Palace. The White House is a place for political activities. The Red Palace is used to worship Buddha statues and hold religious ceremonies. It is the place where the Dalai Lama worships the Lingta in past dynasties. The Lingta of the Fifth Dalai Lama alone was covered with more than ten tons of gold, and its body and interior were inlaid with more precious jewels and utensils. Whether you join a tour group or not, there will be many tour guides to explain along the way. If you are interested in Tibetan Buddhism, you might as well listen carefully. After visiting the Potala Palace, you can take a taxi or take bus 16 to Sera Temple, one of the three major temples of Gelug Sect. There will be a Buddhist debate from 3 pm to 5 pm.

Catering: sweet tea, yogurt, Tibetan noodles, yogurt shop, Guangming shop and restaurant, Tashi snacks.

On the second day of coming to Lhasa, you can gradually try local cuisine. Black tea and sweet tea brewed with milk are delicious and cheap. Yogurt is sour, so you can eat it with some sugar. Tibetan noodles are made of wheat and highland barley. Bone soup and diced yak meat made of yak meat and yak bones are more delicious than soup heads, although they are not amazing.

Accommodation: Recommended accommodation area: Xianzu Island Garden Community.

We recommend the Garden Community or the Inn in the Ecological Community on Xianzu Island, where the environment is relatively quiet, the hardware facilities of the inn are better than those in the old city, and there are buses and taxis at the door, making it more convenient to travel.

D3 Naqu: Namco

According to the time and place agreed by the tour group or carpooling, it takes about 4-5 hours to go to Namco, passing through Yangbajing, Nyainqentanglha Pass, passing through Dangxiong County and reaching Namco Lake. In Tibetan,? Wrong? What is that? Lake? Namco is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet, where many Tibetan Buddhists can be seen turning over scriptures. The lake is a continuous reflection of snow-capped mountains, and the main peak of Nyainqentanglha on one side is also reflected on the lake. The endless sapphire lake is impressive.

Catering: rice, noodles, light meals.

Because the tourist facilities in Namco are not perfect, the local catering industry is mostly temporary restaurants, with average taste and little difference among families, so choose a cleaner one.

Accommodation: Recommended accommodation area: Barkhor Street.

Recommend an inn near Barkhor Street or an inn or hotel on Beijing Road, which is close to the place to play and convenient to take a taxi. You can stroll around Barkhor Street when you go out, and there are many snacks in restaurants.
