Dabancheng ancient city, through Baishui Waterfall Road in Yizhou, goes out of Heshan County boundary on the right, to the northwest of Zhufan, to the west of the moon, and is full of water plants and horses. So this road is called Baishui Waterfall, and this city is called Baishui Town. An ancient town with a western style in the Tang Dynasty was opened in Dabancheng Scenic Area of Urumqi.

It is built on a huge iron-black rock. The city wall is tamped with local gravel and sand. Walking along the rock, it is measured that its peripheral circumference is nearly 300 meters, the rammed layer is 10-25 cm thick, the best preserved area, and the wall is more than 5 meters high. The city was built on the famous Baishui Waterfall Canyon along the Silk Road. One person keeps it, and ten thousand people can't. It has been a garrison since ancient times. It was built about 1600 years ago.

Dabancheng Ancient City "scenic area covers an area of 750 mu, including Dabancheng Ancient City Site, Wang Art Museum, Kistler Museum, Literature and History Museum, Che Ma Store and so on. The beautiful Dabancheng girl is just around the corner, and the town where she lives is here. Craftsmen are busy, horses and donkeys neigh, vendors peddle, attractive barbecues and fragrant yogurt silk road, which is very prosperous. As Cen Can said in his poem, countless bells flashed. It is divided into two districts: the inner city and the outer city. There are folk exhibition halls, tea shops, stables, national handicraft workshops and Wang Art Museum, which reflect the western customs.

Dabancheng Ancient Town Scenic Area is located at the mouth of Baiyang River Canyon, 3 kilometers east of Dabancheng Town. The canyon, formerly known as Baishui Waterfall Road, is the throat of the new North Road of the ancient Silk Road, and now it is the traffic artery leading to the north and south of Xinjiang and the inland.

Why is it now called Dabancheng instead of Baishui Town? This name was only stationed in the Tang Dynasty for military needs, and it was difficult for local residents to remember, understand and spread it. The local residents verbally conveyed a name to this place, called Dabancheng. People gradually forgot this military name, but the oral Dabancheng became more and more famous, and Wang's Dabancheng Girl made it famous all over the world.
