1. Before War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression

The area around Jie Fangbei was originally called "Du You Street", which was named after the official post office here. At that time, there were only a few drugstores, satin shops and companies selling Four Treasures of the Study, and the rest were residential houses such as Yangjia Courtyard and Zhoujia Courtyard. At the intersection of four narrow lanes in Du You Street, there is an open space of only a few tens of square meters, which is called "Dashizi", and now it is the central area of Jie Fangbei.

The former site of Jigong Monument was originally a wooden structure with a height of 7 feet and 7 feet-the spiritual fortress, which was built in November 194 and demolished in October 1946.
