What are the standards of tourism environmental capacity in different tourist areas?

in appendix a of the general principles of tourism planning formulated by China national tourism administration (23), according to the existing research results, tourism capacity is divided into four categories: spatial capacity, facility capacity, ecological capacity and social psychological capacity, and it is proposed that the calculation of daily spatial capacity and daily facility capacity is the most basic requirement for a tourist area. The appendix also lists the measurement formulas of daily spatial capacity and daily facility capacity:

daily spatial capacity formula: C=∑Ci=∑Xi×Zi/Yi (1)

C is the total daily spatial capacity of the tourist area, which is numerically equal to the sum of daily spatial capacities of all districts (scenic spots);

Ci is the daily spatial capacity of the I-th scenic spot;

Xi is the sightseeing area of the I-th scenic spot;

Yi is the basic spatial standard of the I-th scenic spot, that is, the reasonable sightseeing space occupied by each tourist on average.

Zi is the daily turnover rate of the I-th scenic spot.

daily facility capacity formula: C=∑Ci=∑Xi×Yi (2)

the calculation method of daily facility capacity is basically similar to that of daily space capacity.

The above formula provides a concrete and operable method for quantifying the environmental capacity of tourist areas, and has been widely used in tourism planning and management practice.
