When taking a taxi, generally do not take it in the square of the train station, and remember to choose the color of the taxi. Red and yellow are the local taxis in western Hunan, so the price of taking a taxi in these colors to Phoenix will be very high. Because the green taxis are local taxis in Phoenix, they are destined to return after arriving in Xiangxi. It is better to have passengers than to go back empty. So the price will be cheaper. The price is about 150 yuan/car.

For accommodation, many people recommend living in stilt houses by the river, but they are expensive, noisy (there are bars along the river), and small! And there are not many rooms; you can read the "Guide to Accommodation in Diaojiao Houses in Fenghuang Ancient City" written on this website; usually the price of non-riverside stilt houses is 60-80 yuan per room per night, and the riverside ones are 120-160 yuan per room per night; During the Golden Week, sometimes you may not even have a house until 280. However, during the off-season and not on weekends, accommodation is still easy to find. Strongly recommend not to go during Golden Week. Also, most inns and hotels in Fenghuang Ancient City do not provide disposable supplies, so you need to bring your own.

Let’s talk about the itinerary in Fenghuang: It usually takes about three days to visit Fenghuang Ancient City: Arrive at Fenghuang Ancient City on the first day and explore the ancient city freely (it is not recommended for self-guided tourists to enter the nine scenic spots in the ancient city) , watch the bonfire party in the evening; take a one-day tour of Miao Village on the second day; take a self-guided tour of the ancient city on the third day, and then return (or go to the South Great Wall, Qiliang Cave, and then return).
