Peng Yulin's life is full of legends. He was a scholar in his early years and later joined the Xiang army. The fifth time was in July of the seventh year of Guangxu (188 1), and the court appointed him as the governor of Liangjiang and Minister of Commerce and Trade of Nanyang. " Peng Yulin said so and did the same.
