Historical reference:

The mystery of Yoshiko Kawashima’s life and death is known as one of the top ten mysteries in modern Chinese history, and there is still no conclusion yet. More than one researcher claimed that she was actually rescued by a civet cat in exchange for a prince, and lived in anonymity for 30 years until she died of illness in 1978.

This story was first revealed by mainland Chinese, and Japanese TV was the first to report it and produce a feature film. However, Japan seems to have no interest in conducting such research and has no explanation.
