What apps should I use for free travel in Tokyo? Recommended apps for Tokyo

When going to Tokyo, you must prepare several APPs on your mobile phone. Today I will recommend a few APPs. You can use them when you go. I think they are very good. Now we Let’s go and see what they are.

The following are some of the better apps that I used when preparing to go to Tokyo and during my stay in Tokyo. I have retained them from personal testing

Because some of them are in the AppStore in Japan. It only exists, so here are two ways to get Japanese apple ID and download these apps:

① Find a universal treasure and spend 10 yuan to buy an apple ID in Japan. I changed the password after buying the ID. The unscrupulous merchant said that the ID can be used permanently, but when I wanted to download something again after a week, they already told me that the password was wrong. What are the consciences of these people!! So if If you want to buy on a certain website, it is recommended to download all the apps at once.

②Find a friend who lives in Japan to help you register a new appleID. This is also the most direct, effective and reliable, because I have some basic knowledge of Japanese and have tried to register myself, but it is really difficult to enter the katakana of a Japanese name_, so after trying for half an hour (I was still angry) I decided to leave this trouble to my good friends in Japan.

Let’s talk about the specific uses of these apps:

Transportation

Googlemap/Yahoo. Transfer Plan/Japan Transfer

Before going to Tokyo, I usually use those two transfer plans to plan the route and estimate the time required. I personally recommend these two apps. The green one is easier to use because you can directly enter the station name in simplified Chinese.

But after I went to Tokyo, I didn’t open the two apps in the transfer case. I used Google Maps! Crazy. Call it, it’s super easy to use! Not only can you choose the departure time (because Tokyo’s subway is very punctual, the time to the station is exactly the same), but it will also display different plans and prices, transfer routes and The time is also very clear. I never missed a train in Tokyo using Google Maps (very proud!

Take my trip to Kamakura as an example:

I was very nervous before going to Tokyo. Come on, the Tokyo subway is too complicated, and there are no distinctions between stops and express trains (stops mean that they stop at every station, and express trains only stop at specific stations. I was worried that I would get on the wrong train. But after I got there, This will not happen at all.

Google Maps will clearly list the stations at which to transfer, and the signs inside the stations are also large and eye-catching, so you can’t mistake them clearly. Stop and express, as long as you go to the right platform, these are all correct.

If you really don’t understand, just follow the arrival time of the train, because Tokyo’s subway is very punctual, unless there is an accident. (For example, if someone deviates from the line, otherwise there is absolutely no mistake!

I took a few screenshots of the stations in the photos to show you the station signs

In addition to the real-time navigation function, Google Map The function of marking locations (if you need to go over the wall in China, it can be said to be trouble-free and easy to use, so I’m crazy about it!

Before I didn’t know this function, this is how I marked locations:

After marking on Google Map (how to mark: search for a place, mark it as a "place you want to go" or "favorite place", take Kamakura as an example:

Go The location will be clear at a glance. Which one to go to first, you will never go back on the wrong path or go back. This method is very, very time-saving for a relatively compact itinerary.

Google map page. The version is also super easy to use (no need to circumvent the wall, its "browse street view images" function is simply incredible.

Take Harajuku Station as an example, click on the part of the blue line in the picture above that you want to go to :

The street view of Harajuku Station is displayed in front of you! Follow the arrows and it will really feel like you have arrived at Harajuku Station in advance! (You can almost follow the Google Map cloud travel hahaha. The part framed in the picture above is Some of the shooting dates of Street View are quite new, so the destination is basically the same. If you want to know the actual situation of the destination in advance in China, you can use this function__

So it’s really here I feel familiar with Tokyo. Sometimes I don’t even need navigation because some roads have already been “clouded” on Google Maps. Haha! You deserve Google Map’s “Cloud Travel”

Search for information Aspects

Yahoo's weather/Yahoo

Yahoo's weather: The most important thing when going out for fun is actually good weather! This weather software is very accurate, and it also notifies the rainfall time Very timely! Of course, Apple’s built-in weather is enough~

Yahoo: The main purpose of downloading Yahoo is to search for information about some stores/attractions.

For example, department store business hours/store guidelines/brand guidelines...

For example, when are some boutiques in Omotesando open...

For example, the brand you want to go to has several branches in Tokyo...

Checking this information in advance will really save a lot of time, and it is highly recommended to download it.

Shopping

Go to Japan/Dream Travel/Rishang Membership

Both apps, Go to Japan and Dream Travel, have the same functions for me Yes, that is to get the coupons from the store!

However, these discounts are the same as in the store. The merchants will directly mark them in the store, and they should not be allowed to be reused, so--it doesn't seem to be the case. Need to use. But download the insurance first (because I am lazy, I have not used these coupons. If you encounter a store with discounts but do not indicate it, you can use it~

Rishang members: Depart from Shanghai to visit Rishang In the duty-free shop, Rishang members can use this app to see the price and inventory of the goods~

Add the goods to the shopping cart and generate a wish list. Show what you want to buy directly to the BA and let her help you. Just take it~

Food store exploration

mars/Dianping/食べログ/Retty

Dianping: The overseas version of Dianping actually does this too It’s pretty good. There are some stores that are frequented by famous tourists, and there are quite a lot of reviews. You can refer to them.

The disadvantages may be: the store opening hours are not sure, and some stores are not famous. There’s not much information to get from big stores. Oh, by the way, Dianping also has some department store coupons that you can get~

mars: A guide to city life that’s better than the locals, it’s made by YOHO A higher-priced version of Dianping! If you want to discover some interesting places or exhibitions, you can refer to some of the stores listed on Mars~

The disadvantage may be: because like Dianping, they are all made in China App, the information is not accurate, and the stores listed on Mars are more unique and gimmick, and the store coverage is not as good as Dianping. There are not many user experiences and reviews.

食べログ and Retty are apps that can only be downloaded from stores in Japan, but you don’t need to go through the firewall to use them! Compared to the above two, they are more localized and have complete information~

食べログ: It’s equivalent to Japan’s local Dianping. You can directly enter the English or Japanese name of the store you want to go to (remember not to hit the space bar after typing it all at once. If you don’t know what to eat, you can search for “Current Place-Food” Category" to select. Stores with a rating of 3.5 on 食べログ are generally good~

The user interface is as follows:

Because it is a fully Japanese App, there is no Japanese foundation It may be a little difficult for people to use it, so I marked some things in the picture above.

The business hours of stores in Tokyo are unpredictable (there are many strange things, and there are many regular holidays, and they may be closed on any day. , in order to avoid the situation of trying hard to get there but being disappointed, you should do your homework in advance. Of course, you can also refer to the stores I went to! I will mark the business hours of the stores I have visited below. < /p>

Retty: The method of use is the same as that of eating. The purpose of downloading the two software is for the interaction and confirmation of information (obsessive-compulsive disorder must be very sure!

But the use of Retty is more troublesome and must be You need to log in with Facebook, but you can also turn on the visitor mode to check information. Retty has a convenient place to use. You can click "Open Now" to find nearby restaurants that are open~ For choosing a breakfast place Or a late night snack spot is especially useful. As we all know, stores in Tokyo open late but close early. It is really a "lazy" city.

Language

Converse/Japan Travel Conversation

Because I know some Japanese, I have no problem with basic communication in Tokyo ~ Besides, some Chinese characters can also be seen by everyone I should guess that it’s pretty much the same (this is the advantage of the Chinese), but I still recommend two good Japanese translation software.

Converse: a real-time translation software, you speak Chinese, it will help You translate it into Japanese and broadcast it. The speed is very fast and the accuracy is so high that Japanese people can understand it.

Japanese travel conversation: There are many practical sentences and words in it, which is very suitable for traveling. Learn a few words before.

Others

Minimalist Exchange Rate/TokyoDMap

Minimalist Exchange Rate: Convert exchange rates with a simple interface design.

TokyoDMap: This time I went to DisneySea, so I downloaded this app. It not only has a map of the whole park, but also displays the queuing time for each item. You can observe it every day in the days before you go to play. There will be fewer people at certain times and events, so it’s very useful~

Disneyland and DisneySea are covered~so if you plan to go to Tokyo Disney or DisneySea, it is highly recommended to download it!< /p>
