Saudi Arabia: hiking to feel the beauty of nature
1. Suda Peak in asir National Park is considered as the highest peak in Saudi Arabia, about 25 kilometers away from Abu Dhabi, the capital of asir.
Suda Peak is more than 3,000 meters above sea level, providing various places for rock climbing, hiking and camping. Experienced hikers can go up or down the mountain along the path, and there is a wide trail near the top of the mountain, which is suitable for tourists of all ages to walk.
2. The World Cliff, also known as Mount Faharin, is located about 90 minutes' drive outside Riyadh. It is part of a huge cliff outside the soil, which stretches for more than 600 kilometers and passes through central Saudi Arabia.
This spectacular scenic spot can continuously see the bottom of the valley and the horizon from the edge of the steep cliff.
The magnificent scenery has earned this scenic spot the nickname "Cliff of the World" and made it one of the most popular tourist destinations in Riyadh.
Moon Valley is located about an hour's drive north of Jeddah. It is located in an amazing park, where there are strange rock formations formed by crustal movement over millions of years.
This area is an ideal place to watch stars at night. Visitors can hike to the top of Moon Mountain to watch the sunset, and then return to the camp to enjoy spectacular scenery, barbecue dinner and Arabic coffee.
4. Mount Rhodes means "Almond Mountain" in Arabic. At an altitude of 2549 meters, it is the highest peak in Tabuk province and the only place in Saudi Arabia where it snows almost every year, which is very suitable for hiking in winter.
A small river in the northwest of the top of the mountain is the location of a precious ancient rock painting, depicting the images of elephants and cows. Other nearby mountains are covered with ice and snow every winter.
5. Caravan Trail is a trail with a history of hundreds of years. It's only a 45-minute drive from Riyadh. It used to be the only entrance to Riyadh from the west.
This road is about one kilometer long, rugged and has many bends. Now it has been rebuilt, with convenient stairs and a rest area with an umbrella, where visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Tuwei Mountain.
6. Camel caravan road was originally built in the 10 century, and was later reinforced with large stones and zigzag components during the Ottoman Empire.
This historic road is located in Hada Mountain, 35 minutes' drive from Taif.
