Langya Mountain

Langya Mountain is named after Sima Rui, the Emperor of the Eastern Jin Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty, who was the king of Langya Mountain to avoid chaos here.

Later, Ouyang Xiu's masterpiece "The Drunkard's Pavilion" became famous all over the world and became an important intermediary for the outside world to understand Chuzhou. There are many famous snacks in Dachu City, such as lotus root sandwich, Guanba beef, Qinlan braised goose, Leiguan salted duck, Nvshan Lake hairy crabs, Langya crisp cake, Fengyang Yong Tau Foo etc. Compared to these orthodox famous foods, I prefer street food.

"Braised Chicken" can definitely be regarded as the landmark snack of Dachu City. It is the mark of homesickness for a wanderer away from home, and it is also the beauty that I must pick with my own hands every time I come back. It has no fancy appearance and no special formula. It’s a big pot cooked with homemade seasonings. After cooking, add some crushed chili peppers and minced garlic. It tastes quite appetizing.

Steamed rice is also a specialty breakfast here. A glistening glutinous rice ball wraps a fritter or tenderloin, and can be sweet or savory according to personal taste. The entrance is very tough, chewy, clear and full. Really early and more satisfying than bread.
