Kiyomizu Temple is the oldest and most famous Buddhist temple in Kyoto, Japan. The present main building was built by Tokugawa shogunate in 1633, and the earliest Kiyomizu Temple building here should date back to 798 AD. Kiyomizu Temple is located in Yuyin Mountain and is famous for its beautiful scenery around it.

People nearby raised funds to build a temple to worship this Buddha statue, which is Sensoji Temple. In addition to the Inner Temple of Sensoji Temple, there are many famous buildings, historic sites and scenic spots such as the Five Pagodas of Sensoji Temple. Every year around New Year's Day, pilgrims who come to worship are packed with people.
