Xinyang Memory (Ⅱ) —— Qinglong Street

In the first phase, we shared Cang Hutong, the oldest street in Xinyang, out of respect for history. This issue talks about Qinglong Street. One of the reasons for saying Qinglong Street is that my family lives in Yangshan New District, and Qinglong Street is at home. Second, Qinglong Street is undergoing shantytown renovation, and it will be demolished soon. Otherwise, there will be no chance. Of course, the transformation of shanty towns is a sign of social progress, and prosperity and development are certainly good things, but don't forget history, as Lenin said: forgetting the past means betrayal. Leave a microcosm of the history of Qinglong Street and leave this beautiful memory for Xinyang people.

Qinglong Street is herringbone, with a total length of 41m and two herringbone openings. How did Qinglong Street come from? There are several versions of the legend. One legend is that a dragon landed in this place every day, and the place where it landed was called Qinglong Street. The dragon head was in the original Qinglong Street Primary School, which is now the Eleventh Primary School. Qinglong's Longwei is in Daimiao Primary School. Why is Daimiao Primary School Longwei? Because there was a tall and big tree in the original campus of Daimiao Primary School, which was said to be the dragon tail of Qinglong. Why do you say that Eleven is the leader? Because there were two big ancient wells on both sides of the eleventh small, which were the eyes of Qinglong, the leading position was named Qinglong Street. The reason why this dragon fell to earth was because he accidentally injured his eyes and became a Cyclops. He couldn't endure the pain and fell to the ground. How to prove that this dragon is Cyclops! In the past, there were two big ancient wells next to the Eleventh Small School. The water in one well was always clear and the other was always turbid. This means that one eye of Qinglong is blind, and it is Cyclops. Of course, scientifically speaking, the muddy water is only a geological natural phenomenon, and it has nothing to do with the dragon's eyes. This is a version of the name of Qinglong Street.

There is another saying that in ancient times, there were gods in charge of the four directions in the sky, namely, Qinglong, Baihu, Suzaku and Xuanwu, representing the four directions of east, west, north and south respectively. The name of this dragon in charge of the East is Meng Zhang. As for its image, "The Collection of Necessary Use of Daomen Tongjiao" has seven clouds: "The dragon horn in the East is full of vigor, spits clouds and glows, cries thunder, flies octupole, travels around the four ghosts, and stands on my left." At that time, an old man named Chen Shi 'an lived in this street. He named this street after the God of the East because it was in the east of Xinyang ancient city at that time.

according to the third legend, Huang Guanghe, an old resident of Qinglong Street, a long time ago, Qinglong, who was in the sky, neglected his duties and neglected human affairs. It doesn't rain when planting seedlings on the ground and it doesn't wind when flowering, so Xinyang people are miserable and have been like this for several years. Later, this incident made the Jade Emperor know, and the Jade Emperor was very angry. At one stroke, he banished the Qinglong to the Longfei Mountain in Xinyang, which is now yangshan. This Qinglong is at least several kilometers long. This big dragon is lying on the ground, because there is no water, it can't stand it for a long time, and it will dry up and die.

looking at a poor life, Xinyang people no longer care about Qinglong's fault, because there is water shortage everywhere, the rivers and ponds are dry, and there is no water in the wells. The only place where there is water in Xinyang is the Longquan in Longquan Lane (as for the location and legend of Longquan Lane in Xinyang, I will leave a button in this issue in the future). The people of Xinyang all ran to Longquan Lane to get water and water Qinglong. Thousands of people in the whole city acted together and tried their best to maintain the life of Qinglong in the case of difficulty in drinking water at home. There are still some people who go to the Jade Emperor every day (as for the location of the Jade Emperor Temple in Xinyang, they will also explain it in the future, leaving another button) and ask the Jade Emperor to forgive this big dragon. The Jade Emperor was very moved when he learned about this incident, and was moved by Xinyang people's behavior of letting bygones be bygones and trying to save each other. At the same time, I feel that I can't bother Xinyang people any more. If Qinglong can't be collected, Xinyang people have to carry water to water the dragon. The Jade Emperor can't bear it, so he is ready to recall Qinglong.

However, it is difficult to recall Qinglong when it is called, because Qinglong is so big and has been short of water for a long time and is dying. Qinglong is such a big guy that it is difficult to take off without relying on its own strength. Xinyang people use the method of spiritual victory to boost the spirit of Qinglong and take off by Qinglong's own strength. Tens of thousands of people in Xinyang city surrounded Qinglong, beating gongs and drums and shooting, and the mountains sounded the same. The masses shouted "take off, take off". In this cry, Qinglong's spirit did it one brace up, and made every effort to finally take off. When the Qinglong took off, it used too much force, and its claws grasped the ground very deeply, leaving a deep ravine underground. Later, people named the location of Qinglong faucet as Longfei Mountain; Qinglong's body is named Qinglong Street; When Qinglong took off, the ravine caught by the dragon's claws was qinglong river, which now flows through Xinyang city.

The legend of Qinglong Street, I prefer the third version, because this legend has a human touch. It is a true portrayal of Xinyang people who are simple, hardworking and brave. During the Great Revolution, many Xinyang people in the old liberated areas gave their lives for the revolution, and they had no regrets. Isn't this Dabie Mountain spirit with a global mind a portrayal of the legend of Qinglong Street again?

Although Qinglong Street is going to be demolished, the simple, hardworking and brave spirit of Xinyang people shown by Qinglong Street will remain with her beautiful legend forever!
