Take a trip on the go, drive my Fit to go out with my wife!

After I had a child, I didn’t go on trips with my wife. In addition to going to work every day, I would play with the child at home. I wanted to leave the child to the care of the elderly, but the child was too young and couldn’t live without the mother. Finally, when the children were older, my wife accidentally mentioned that she wanted to go out for a walk. How could I let go of this opportunity? I just left.

Looking at the map, I chose Hongcun, which is relatively close to home, and spent one night making a simple guide. Since the distance was not very far, I decided to drive my own Fit.

Look at this body curve, perfectly showing a slender car.

The rear of the car looks very full, and when you open the trunk, there is a large space that can hold a lot of things. My wife brought a big suitcase and wanted to buy a lot of specialties when she came back. It can definitely hold a lot of things and still have room left.

The space inside the car is also very large, and there is a little room for your legs and head when you sit in it. Although the Fit is a small car, it has considerable longitudinal space as a hatchback and is already considered a leader among small cars.

After driving for more than three hours, we finally arrived in Hongcun. Hongcun, known as Hongcun and Qixia Town in ancient times, is a world cultural heritage and is known as the "Village in Pictures". The town has well preserved more than 140 Ming and Qing folk houses, making it an ancient town with Huizhou characteristics.

The day before departure, I booked Houdexuan in Hongcun Scenic Area. The name and decoration of this B&B are quite unique, and it only takes a five-minute walk to Nanhu Lake. There will be discounts on tickets to scenic spots and other things if you buy them from the B&B owner.

Many people gathered at the south gate, waiting for the tour guide to lead the group. The tour guide is free. After he has gathered a certain number of people, he will take him for a tour of the village and introduce the humanities and history of the village. It takes almost an hour to complete the tour.

When you enter the door of a folk house, you will see skylights when you look up. This is a major feature of Huizhou folk houses. Since there are few and very small windows around the houses, skylights are mainly used for ventilation and lighting.

This hollow double-sided stone sculpture is one of the few stone sculptures in Hongcun. The tour guide said that this stone sculpture is priceless.

Actually, Hongcun is quite big. You may get lost in the village if you are not careful, but don’t worry, you can follow this waterfront, enter the village against the current, and leave the village downstream. This water bank flows all the way to Nanhu Lake.

We walked along Shuizhen to Nanhu. Nanhu is one of the symbols of Hongcun. The lake is full of lotus flowers, which must be very beautiful in summer.

There are many people visiting Nanhu Academy.

We walked to the entrance of the village. There was a red poplar tree and a ginkgo tree at the entrance of the village. It is said that they are both more than 500 years old. In terms of red and white matters, these two trees have important significance in the village, and can be said to be the "lucky trees" of the village.

The Moon Marsh is also one of the symbols of Hongcun, located in the center of Hongcun. In ancient times, those who could live nearby were the richest and most famous people in the village.

It was already evening when we walked to Moon Marsh, and the red lanterns hanging on the wall were lit up and reflected in the water, which was completely different from the scenery during the day.

It’s time to eat. I want to have a nice meal with my wife, so let’s do this~
