The following documents are required to renew the driver's license:

The fee is S $50 (cash card or mosquito net only, cash payment is not accepted).

Category1:drivers under 65 years old.

You can renew your driver's license directly in the traffic police department.

Category II: Drivers over 65 years old (with 2B and 2A driving licenses, 2, 3A and 3)

You can update it directly in the traffic police department.

From the age of 65, you need to go to the hospital for a health check-up every three years. Drivers who pass the exam need to provide a medical report issued by the hospital to prove that the driver's physical condition still meets the driving requirements.

Category III: Drivers aged 65 and above (with 4A 4 and 5 driving licenses)

The following inspections and tests must be passed:

Complete the annual health examination in a hospital recognized by the Singapore government;

Take the health form issued by the hospital to the address of Woodlands Examination Center, No.2, E4 Woodlands Industrial Park to take the required proficiency driving test to prove that you are still suitable for driving;

After passing the proficiency driving test, your driving license will take effect.

It should be noted that the test center does not accept medical certificates issued after 3 months.

How to change a foreign driver's license into a Singapore driver's license?

Drivers who already hold their own driver's license can change their Singapore driver's license at the Singapore traffic police department after passing the theoretical examination.

Foreigners (18 years old or older) with valid work permits, student visas and family visas have lived in Singapore for no more than 12 months, provided that they have a valid driver's license (Grade 3, 3A or 2B). The Singapore government allows them to use their driving licenses to drive the corresponding motor vehicles in Singapore.

Only those who have held a Singapore driver's license for more than 12 months are allowed to drive the corresponding stimulating vehicles in Singapore.

Foreigners with short-term entry visas drive motor vehicles in Singapore, and the driving validity does not exceed 12 months after each entry into Singapore.

Appeal that all drivers' licenses are not marked in English or international drivers' licenses are not allowed to drive in Singapore without an official English translator.

Please note that foreigners with WP are not allowed to drive motor vehicles in Singapore unless they need special jobs (such as bus drivers).

Driver's license replacement process:

If you want to successfully change your domestic driver's license to a Singapore driver's license, you need to pass the Basic Theory Test (BBT), and the results of overseas theoretical tests are not recognized.
