If you go to northern Xinjiang, you must visit Tianshan Tianchi Scenic Area. In ancient Chinese mythology, Tianchi is also the place where the Queen Mother of the West takes a bath. Tianchi Lake is 1910 meters above sea level, with the deepest point reaching 105 meters. The lake reflects Bogda Peak and is surrounded by spruce trees. The scenery is like a fairyland. The scenic area includes natural landscapes such as mountain lakes, wetland meadows, and forest canyons.

There are three water surfaces in Tianchi Scenic Area. In addition to the main lake, there are two water surfaces on the east and west sides. On the east side is the "East Small Tianchi", also known as the Black Dragon Pool, located 500 meters east of the Tianchi. Under the pool is a 100-foot cliff with a waterfall flying down like a rainbow. The scenic spot is called "Xuanquan Yaohong".

Tourists can take the shuttle bus to Fukang at Urumqi Beijiao Passenger Terminal (the fare is about 15 yuan, the journey is about 1.5 hours, and the bus runs every 10 minutes). Generally, tourists are more concentrated from 10 am to 12 am, and the bus runs as soon as it is full, otherwise it runs every 30 minutes.
