How do individuals travel abroad?

Passport:

When traveling abroad, you must carry your passport. The customs should conduct inspection at the time of entry and exit.

Pay special attention not to lose your passport during the whole trip. It is best to leave a copy of your passport before going abroad and carry it with you alone. If you find your passport lost, you should report it to the local police station and issue a certificate, and then go to the Chinese embassy or consulate in the local country to apply for a temporary travel document.

Schengen countries (Schengen):

1985, the Schengen agreement was signed in the border town of Luxembourg. The main content was to cancel the border inspection between the signatories of the agreement to facilitate the free flow of people and goods. The agreement came into effect on March 1995.

At present, there are 15 signatories:

Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italy, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.

In addition, Monaco, Vatican, Andorra, San Marino and other small countries without separate embassies are also included. 12 Eastern European countries that have newly joined the EU will join the Schengen Agreement in the next few years.

Visas between Schengen countries are universal, and visa holders of any Schengen country are free to travel to and from other countries according to the Schengen Agreement. So in principle, you only need to go to the embassy of any of the above countries to apply for a visa to travel to Schengen countries. However, due to the limitation of the required application documents, it is usually handled at the embassy of the country of entry or the main destination.

When traveling between Schengen countries, customs no longer need to check passports. However, some countries will conduct temporary spot checks according to specific conditions.

Note: At present, Switzerland and Britain are not Schengen countries, so they need to apply for visas separately. Especially when crossing the border in the above countries, we should pay special attention to whether the visa is valid.

EU countries, Schengen countries and euro countries are not the same concept. There are overlapping parts, but not all.

Visa:

In addition to Schengen visas, these countries also issue their own visas separately. A visa for a single country is valid only in the issuing country. This kind of visa is rare. Since there are no boundaries, it doesn't really make sense. These visas include ADS visas held by China citizens who are going to Germany today.

The full name of ADS visa is the visa of the designated destination country, mainly because only Germany has signed a travel agreement in Europe. In principle, this kind of visa is only valid in Germany and requires group entry and exit.

Every visa has visa requirements, such as time limit, valid stay days, number of entry times, etc.

The validity period of the visa is marked as from to, to and the entry date cannot exceed the last date.

The visa is valid during the stay period, and the business visa is usually 7 days or 15 days. Neither deadline can be exceeded.

Number of entry, MULT for multiple entry, single entry visa.

If you have a one-time entry visa, be careful not to re-enter, especially to Switzerland, Britain and other visa countries, and pay attention to the itinerary to avoid re-entry.

Note: business visa holders must bring the invitation letter of the inviting unit for future reference when entering the country. If you encounter problems when entering the country, you should contact the local embassy or consulate of China in time.
