In a narrow sense, Jiangning University Town only includes the 27 square kilometers around Fangshan, which was planned by the Jiangning District Government in 2002. It is located around Fangshan Mountain in the southeast of Nanjing, about 35 kilometers away from the city center. Currently, 12 universities have signed up to stay. Among them, 10 universities have nearly 100,000 residents. Generally speaking, Hohai University in Jiangjunshan, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Zhengde College, and Southeast University by Jiulong Lake are also classified as Jiangning University Town.
