What does visa check mean?

Visa check is an administrative process. After being checked, students are generally required to leave their passport, academic materials, financial materials and other basic information. Depending on the student's situation, the things left behind will be different. The embassy will then conduct a review on certain points they have doubts about.

During the review process, the embassy may call the American school or the parents’ workplace to review the applicant’s study status or financial situation. Under normal circumstances, the visa officer will inform the applicant whether it has been checked and how long it takes to wait for the visa and passport.

Extended information

A visa is a permit issued by a country's government agency in accordance with the laws of the country to foreigners who apply to enter, exit or pass through the country. The visa is usually attached to the applicant's passport or other international travel document. In special cases, a valid passport or other international travel document may be submitted on a separate sheet. With the advancement of science and technology, some countries have begun to issue electronic visas and biometric visas, which have greatly enhanced the anti-counterfeiting function of visas.
