3. Du Fu Jiangge: Du Fu Jiangge is an antique garden building built to commemorate the poet Du Fu in the Tang Dynasty. In the third year of Tang Dali (768), Du Fu came to Hunan from Zhongshu to meet his old friend Wei Zhijin. When Du Fu arrived in Changsha, Wei Zhijin had died suddenly. Du Fu, who was poor and ill, could only live on a boat in Nanhu Port at first. Later, Du Fu rented a simple building by the Xiangjiang River outside Xiaoximen. Because the building faces the Xiangjiang River, Du Fu named it "Jiangge". In the winter of 770, Du Fu died on a ship from Changsha to Yueyang. To commemorate Du Fu, Changsha decided to build Du Fu Jiangge on Xiangjiang River in 2002, which was completed in 2005 and officially opened to the public on the first day of 2006. Jiangge Garden covers an area of more than 6,000 square meters with a building area of more than 3,800 square meters. It consists of main pavilion, long corridor, tablet pavilion, tea room and other buildings. The main hall is divided into four floors with a height of 18m. Du Fu Jiangge, with cornices and arches, carved beams and painted buildings, is the largest imitation of the Tang Dynasty in Changsha. Du Fu Jiangge, facing Orange Island and Yuelu Mountain across the river, is less than one kilometer away from Tianxin Pavilion, forming a vein and becoming a landscape of Xiangjiang Scenic Area. Du Fu Jiangge has become an important cultural landmark in Changsha, known as the business card of Changsha and the living room of Hunan.
