Introduction of self-help tour in Chengdu (food, shelter and transportation)

Chengdu Super Practical Travel Guide

When I was studying, a classmate from Chengdu often talked about Chengdu with a comfortable expression. What we yearn for is that poor students can't go without travel expenses. I went with my wife this year, and the overall feeling can be described in two words: I'm glad you came! The following is our travel notes for the reference of interested friends.

There are many clean and cheap hotels to stay in Chengdu. There are many 7-day chains and home inns, even the local small hotels are very clean. The price is also reasonable, basically above 100 yuan.

traffic

From Chengdu airport, you can take bus No.303 directly to the central area of Chengdu. Bus No.303 stops near Minshan Hotel; If you take the train station to Chengdu, there will be more buses, and the North Railway Station is in the North Ring Road, so it is convenient to go anywhere. Public transportation in Chengdu extends in all directions, but the most convenient way for foreign tourists is to take a taxi to save time. The taxi in Chengdu starts from 8 yuan, with a speed of 1.2 yuan per kilometer. In particular, I would like to mention Chengdu Tourist Passenger Transport Center (formerly Xinnanmen Station, No.57 Linjiang Road), where there are buses to various tourist attractions, which is very convenient. If you are traveling around Chengdu by yourself, it is strongly recommended not to follow the travel agency. It is best to take a regular bus to the scenic spot by yourself. This way, you can have more time to visit and it is very safe. Don't go by private car.

Scenic spot

The main attractions in the city are: Jinli, Wuhou Temple, Kuanzhai Lane, Qingyang Palace, Du Fu Caotang, Wenshuyuan and Zhaojue Temple; From Jinli to Qingyang Palace and Du Fu Caotang, you can take bus No.82 and go through customs all the way.

Let's focus on the street called "Jinli" next to Wuhou Temple, which is very lively at night. It is suggested to enter Wuhou Temple in the afternoon and have dinner in the surrounding restaurants after coming out. Let's go to Jinli in the evening. You can also skip meals. There are many places selling snacks in Jinli. After dark, there are many teahouses and bars inside, both indoors and outdoors. It feels good. Snacks in Jinli will be a little more expensive than outside, but because of the low price in Chengdu, they are all acceptable and cost-effective. There is also a place that tastes similar to Jinli, called Kuanzhai Lane. Small shops and snacks are similar. But there are more teahouses and bars there. It's also worth visiting.

If you go to Jinli too early, you can go to Chunxi Road Pedestrian Street and Zongfu Road, which are the busiest streets in Chengdu. Note that you can sit in the chair in the middle of Chunxi Road and look at the beautiful girls in Chengdu. Their skin and facial features are very good. They are really eye-catching and pleasing! Hey hey! ! ! )

Wuhou Temple is next to Jinli. Tickets to 60 yuan. In order to commemorate the construction of Zhuge Liang, there are some inscriptions in it. Visitors who like culture and history must follow the tour guide after entering the door. There is no point in just looking at it. You can play in about 2 hours. Personally, I think Wuhou Temple is a deceptive attraction with few cultural relics and no meaning. It is not recommended to spend this money. If you really like history, it is strongly recommended to go to two places: 1 Jinsha Museum, on Qingyang Avenue; Many national treasures of the ancient Shu people are there, including the sun god bird you may already know. But the tickets are more expensive, 80 yuan. The Sichuan Provincial Museum contains everything from stone tools and bronzes to the original works of Zhang Daqian and Xu Beihong. The most important thing is that it is free here! ! Note: Monday is closed.

In addition, the scenic spots around Chengdu that can go back and forth in one day are: Dujiangyan in Qingcheng Mountain, Leshan Giant Buddha in Emei Mountain, four ancient towns and Xiling Snow Mountain. Personally, I think Emei Mountain is better, and it takes 2 days to play well.

snack

Snacks in Chengdu are so famous. There are many places to eat snacks next to Wuhou Temple and Du Fu Caotang. There is a place to eat hot pot next to Wuhou Temple (sorry I forgot the name, the store is very big and obvious, and it is easy to find). There is a snack chain called "Zhong jiaozi" next to Du Fu's Caotang (a bit like Goubuli Steamed Bun Chain Store, hehe). There are many kinds of snacks in it, which are also very cheap. A person can get a set meal for more than 20 yuan. The taste depends on your preference. The most common snacks are Zhong jiaozi, Long wonton soup, Dandan Noodles, Ma Tuan, Lao Zao Tang Yuan and so on. Chengdu people prefer to eat "rabbit diced", which is stewed rabbit meat, which is delicious. There is also a "Chengdu famous snack" near Rome, which is also a set meal, and there are many kinds of snacks. It's very cheap, and there are many combinations, but personally, it tastes average, so you can try it. The most distinctive is the hot pot stall on the roadside in summer, which is the most Chengdu; But you can't think too much about hygiene, hehe, sometimes you can't care so much appetite.

go shopping

Shopping in Chengdu will never let you down. There are many special products that you can enjoy shopping. Shu Brocade, one of the "Four Famous Brocades in China" and Shu Embroidery, one of the "Four Famous Embroideries in China", are your good choices, as well as famous wines such as LU ZHOU LAO JIAO CO.,LTD Co., Ltd. and Pixian watercress, which are the main seasonings for cooking authentic Sichuan cuisine. Shopping streets in Chengdu are concentrated in Chunxi Road, Zongfu Road and Rome, with everything from large department stores and supermarkets to vendors and tourist souvenirs.

Here is a special introduction to a small shop that makes silver ornaments. It left a deep impression on my wife and me and recommended it to friends who like jewelry.

Make an appointment with friends to eat near Shuangnan Community. My friend called and said that the traffic jam was late, so I wandered around and wanted to buy something for my wife. I walked a few steps and saw a small shop called "Lian Jewelry Design". I was immediately attracted by the decoration in the shop, because I am a landscape designer and have occupational diseases for things with good personality. The decoration of the shop is mainly black, and the window and furnishings are designed by the owner himself, which has both a sense of nationality and fashion. You can tell at a glance that the level is extraordinary. If not, you will know as soon as you chat: the owner is a professional oil painter, and now he designs and makes his own silver ornaments. Many things are made by the owner, which means you bought a limited edition. Hehe, my wife doesn't like to wear the same things as others, so she finally chose a ring made by the shopkeeper herself. My wife loves it and wears it every day! The two buds grow high on the annual rings, and the branches and leaves are staggered. According to the owner, the design was inspired by Shu Ting's poem to the oak tree. Finally, the host is a beautiful woman with temperament, hehe! ! ! (Address: 1 16 Shuangnan Street)

teahouse

When I arrived in Chengdu, I have to say that Chengdu has two hobbies: soaking in teahouses and playing mahjong. When you get there, you will feel that the life of Chengdu people is very leisurely. No wonder Chengdu ranks second in the survey of happiness index of cities in China. There is a joke to describe Chengdu people playing mahjong: when the plane flies over Chengdu, you can hear the sound of rubbing hemp below:)

Teahouses are everywhere in Chengdu, ranging from cheap to expensive. The cheapest cup of tea 1 yuan, expensive is hard to say. Here we recommend a famous teahouse-Shunxing Old Teahouse (the old one is on Shawan Road, and the new one is next to the new exhibition center in Gaoxin South District). This place can be described as Chengdu Tea Culture Museum, with a place to eat on the left and a place to drink tea on the right. How much is a bowl? The key is to watch Sichuan Opera and various performances. You can eat it on the left and there are many snacks to order. The food here is absolutely spicy. It used to be so spicy that it made my ears tingle. Hehe, there is also a massage provided by the master. You can try it if you are interested. The surrounding environment is antique, so you can visit the tea culture by the way (there are live geese in the middle pool). Go to the teahouse on the right to watch the program after dinner.

abstract

Chengdu, a place you don't want to go when you come. Haha, this is the propaganda number of Chengdu municipal government. I used it.
