What should you do if your mobile phone runs out of battery and you get lost while traveling?

Wilderness Survival is my favorite program, and I am deeply inspired by Mr. Pei’s True Story of Survival. If you are lost and your phone has no battery, it is not difficult to ask for help to get through the difficulties if you are in a populated place.

If you are in the wilderness late at night, the first thing you should do is to re-establish the correct direction! The following five methods are provided for reference only: 1. The sun is your faithful guide during the day. It gives you direct instructions in the sky. In the morning, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west; 2. You can find a tree stump for observation, and the wide side of the annual rings is in the south. . Or observe that the foliage on the south side of the tree is lush and foliage is sparse on the north side. 3. Observe the ant caves. Most of the cave entrances face south. 4. Learn how to make a simple self-made compass for children. Just straighten the needle, paperclip, or iron wire and rub it on a stone. It will become magnetic. If you hang it parallel with the thread, it can indicate the direction! Or put it on a leaf or light object, and then put it in the water to indicate the direction! 5. If you happen to encounter a stream during your survival process, congratulations. Not only will you have a guaranteed water source, but you will definitely be able to return to the civilized world just by walking along the river.

If you are going to an uninhabited area in the wild, it is recommended to prepare a compass and paper map. Also learn to rely on the sun/moon for positioning in advance, just in case.

If it’s not a no-man’s land, you can ask someone. You can also borrow a power bank/power bank to recharge your phone. But in some remote places, even if the mobile phone has power, there is no signal. There are very few local residents and the language is difficult to communicate. Or the local residents may rarely go out, making it difficult to ask the questions you want. Therefore, mobile phones still need to download offline maps.

We once got lost while driving in Inner Mongolia. There was no cell phone signal. We finally found a house, but they didn’t know how to give us directions.

It was best for us to go back the way we came. After finding the road sign, we followed the sign and drove to the nearest county town
