How to understand ecotourism

The main types of modern tourist vehicles are boats, planes, trains and buses. Eco-tourists are the product of tourists' enhanced ecological awareness, the main body of eco-tourism activities and the key factor for the formation and development of eco-tourism. Therefore, the definition of eco-tourists is very important.

1. From the market point of view, eco-tourists refer to tourists who go to eco-tourism areas and consume eco-tourism products as the main content of their tourism activities. The advantage of this definition is that it is convenient to count the number of eco-tourists and related indicators, which is conducive to the study of eco-tourism market by tourism enterprises and tourism industry, and provides favorable data for its market analysis and production and operation. However, this definition is too commercial to accurately define the real eco-tourists. It only involves eco-tourism areas and is a fixed place for eco-tourism. Eco-tourism products provided by eco-tourism are all requirements for the activities of eco-tourism operators. There is no guarantee that tourists have ecological awareness and environmental protection knowledge. Are their activities after entering the ecological scenic spot ecological activities and actions to protect the environment? So this definition has obvious defects.

Secondly, from the psychological point of view, eco-tourists refer to people who have certain knowledge of eco-environmental protection and can embody eco-environmental protection at any time in tourism activities. Personally, this definition is very suitable for eco-tourists. It not only emphasizes that eco-tourists have knowledge of ecological and environmental protection, but also points out that eco-tourists are responsible eco-tourists in tourism activities. This kind of eco-tourists are very passive in the choice of scenic spots and have no clear ecological requirements. They just passively accept the arrangement in the tourism market, abide by their duties and show their ecology in themselves. They can only be ecologists in mass tourism activities.

Based on the above two definitions, it is considered that eco-tourists refer to people who have knowledge of ecological and environmental protection and are willing and able to buy eco-tourism products. This definition of eco-tourists not only avoids the deficiency of the first definition of whether eco-tourists have eco-environmental knowledge, but also makes up for the deficiency of the second definition of eco-tourists passively entering eco-tourism areas, and belongs to eco-tourists in a strict sense. However, this kind of ecotourism has only a small group, which requires too much accessibility and has a demand for the ecotourism market.
