Which section of Sanshui Beijiang levee is the most interesting? Beijiang section of Datang Town in Sanshui District is more fun. Beijiang levee is located on the left bank of the lower reaches of Beijiang River, which is an important barrier for flood control of Xijiang River and Beijiang River in Guangzhou and a national first-class levee.

The dike area has a protected population of more than 20 million, cultivated land 1 10,000 hm2 and GDP3 of more than 3 trillion yuan. The levee starts from Qibeiling on the left bank of Dayan River, a tributary of Beijiang River, passes through Shijiao Town, Qingyuan City, Dayan Estuary, goes down the left bank of Beijiang River, and then passes through Lubao Town, Sanshui City and Xin 'an Town, Sanshui City to Shishan, Nanhai City. The dike is 63.34 kilometers long.

In order to reduce the flood pressure of Beijiang levee and control the flow into Guangzhou, the levee has set up two flood diversion gates, Lubao and Southwest, which are connected with Lubao and Southwest respectively. The levee reserve is a historically submerged area. Except for a few hilly terraces, most of the ground elevation is 3m ~ 7m (at the bottom of the Pearl River), which is often lower than the flood level of Beijiang River and Xijiang River.

The protection scope of Beijiang levee is Guangzhou, the largest city in South China, and some economically developed areas of the Pearl River Delta such as Huadu, Sanshui, Nanhai and Foshan. More than 6,543,800 mu of cultivated land is protected, with a population of more than 7 million. It is one of the seven dikes that the country must protect, but it is also the key node that restricts the construction of Xijiang water diversion project.
