Traveling abroad is a kind of leisure that many China tourists like recently. Everyone is full of expectation and joy about going abroad. However, the outbreak of novel coronavirus during the Spring Festival this year brought the whole tourism industry to a standstill. More than 100 countries and regions began to restrict the entry and exit of China tourists, and a large number of flights were grounded. So, can I travel abroad after the Spring Festival holiday?

Recently, the Exit-Entry Administration of People's Republic of China (PRC) issued a notice to the exit-entry administration departments of public security organs all over the country, requiring all localities to implement the temporary exit-entry administration policies and measures for mainland residents travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao during the novel coronavirus epidemic prevention and control period.

It is required that after the Spring Festival holiday, the exit-entry administration departments of public security organs nationwide will suspend accepting, approving and issuing travel endorsements of mainland residents to Hong Kong and Macao from working days (including group tours, individual tours and "one trip a week" in Shenzhen), and the acceptance channels such as self-service machines and online service platforms will be closed simultaneously, and the recovery time will be announced separately.

Suspend the issuance of travel endorsements that have been accepted but not yet authenticated; If the certificate has been issued but not yet issued, the certificate will be reissued after the policy is restored; If the applicant takes the initiative to apply for cancellation of the endorsement, the endorsement fee already charged will be refunded.

For those who have valid travel endorsements to and from Hong Kong and Macao, but failed to make the trip during the epidemic prevention and control period, the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ will, after resuming the implementation of the travel policy to and from Hong Kong and Macao, re-apply the same type and valid travel endorsements for them free of charge according to their own wishes. If you need to go to Hong Kong and Macao urgently for schooling, medical treatment, funeral, etc., the application policy will remain unchanged.

According to the circular, the exit-entry administration departments of local public security organs should take the initiative to remind mainland residents that in order to prevent the cross-border spread of novel coronavirus and protect the health and safety of themselves and others, it is suggested that outbound tourism activities should not be arranged as much as possible.
