1 Qianling Mausoleum

Qianling Mausoleum is located on Liangshan Mountain, 6 kilometers north of Qian County, Xianyang City. The Qianling Mausoleum was built in 684 AD. It took 23 years for the project to be basically completed. The mausoleum area is modeled on the structure of Chang'an City, the capital. It is surrounded by city walls, with Zhuque Gate in the south, Xuanwu Gate in the north, Qinglong Gate in the east, and Baihu Gate in the west. , but now the ground buildings of the cemetery have basically disappeared. Qianling Mausoleum is a unique mausoleum in China and even the world where emperors from two dynasties and a couple of emperors are buried together. In it, Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty Li Zhi and his wife Wu Zetian, the only female emperor of China, are buried.

2 Tomb of Prince Yide

It is the closest earthen burial tomb to the Qianling Mausoleum. It is also the largest, high-standard, and imperial-level tomb among the Tang Dynasty tombs excavated so far.

3 Tomb of Princess Yongtai

The tomb of Princess Yongtai is one of the seventeen accompanying tombs of Qianling Mausoleum, located 2.5 kilometers southeast of Qianling Mausoleum. The owner of the tomb, Li Xianhui, is the granddaughter of Tang Gaozong Li Zhi and Wu Zetian, and the seventh daughter of Tang Zhongzong Li Xian. She was only 17 years old when she died. She was buried with her husband Wu Yanji in the Qianling Mausoleum.

4 Tomb of Prince Zhanghuai

The tomb of Prince Zhanghuai is one of the tombs accompanying Wu Zetian’s Qianling Mausoleum, located about 3 kilometers southeast of the Qianling Mausoleum. The owners of the tomb are Li Zhi, Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty, and Li Xian, the second son of Wu Zetian.
