Motorcycle Travel Guide on Da Nang Highway in Vietnam

Da Nang, Vietnam is a city full of tropical beach customs and a very famous holiday resort in Vietnam. This is a good tourist destination, with many beautiful natural landscapes and exciting food. Here is a detailed strategy for you.

1, visa

Vietnam has opened landing visa to China tourists in several tourist cities, but they can't enter Vietnam directly with their passports. They need something like an application form. Taobao has many agency services, and the price is cheap. You can use a copy of your passport. You can print it out and take it away.

When you leave this country, show it to your uncle and you will be released. When entering the country, you can apply for a visa to Vietnam by holding the application form and your passport and filling in the application form.

It should be noted that the vast majority of tourists entering Vietnam are from landing visa, and there are many places where visas are issued. Therefore, printing and filling in the entry application form in advance can save a lot of queuing time.

2-inch color photos are required for landing visas. Remember to prepare in advance, don't post it yourself, just give it to the staff.

The visa fee is $25 (single entry), and cash (equivalent to Vietnamese dong) must be prepared. It must be noted that there is no ATM to withdraw money at the airport before entry.

Finally, there is no pen at the entrance of Da Nang airport, so you must bring one yourself in case of emergency.

2. Currency

The official currency of Vietnam is the Vietnamese dong, and cash is basically used in Vietnam. Only hotels, large restaurants and supermarkets can swipe their cards, and most of them do not support UnionPay. So cash is king.

The Vietnamese dong can't be directly exchanged with RMB, so it can't be exchanged in domestic banks, and you can't expect to withdraw the Vietnamese dong from the ATM with a RMB card. But everywhere in Vietnam, RMB can be exchanged for Vietnamese dong, airports, hotels, restaurants and even supermarket vendors. Airport Bank 1 RMB is about 3,250 RMB. The hotel is around 3200. At the manufacturer's place, it is basically 3000. So I suggest that it's almost enough to change 2300 RMB at the hotel every day.

If you have dollars on hand, it is actually more appropriate to change them into dollars. I exchanged 1 for $22,000 at the hotel, which is obviously more suitable than RMB. I happen to have some dollars at hand, and I basically change them for Vietnamese dong at Da Nang.

3, mobile phone SIM card

The network situation in Da Nang is surprisingly good. 4G network speed is extremely fast, and the price is not too expensive. You can buy it on Taobao in advance. If it is too late, the airport will also sell it.

4. Language problems

Da Nang is a tourist city with a large number of European and American tourists. Most hotels and big hotels have clerks with good English and strong accent, and there is no problem in communication. In some supermarkets frequented by China people, there are even Chinese shopping guides. However, when you leave hotels and restaurants, it is basically up to you to guess.

Well, as long as you have money and internet, you are not afraid to travel all over the world. Let's go directly!

A country on a motorcycle

Vietnam can be said to be a country on motorcycles, because basically every household has motorcycles, and local people basically rely on motorcycles to travel. Therefore, it is a unique experience to drive a motorcycle through a busy city or take a ride on the coastal roads in Vietnam, which is hard to get elsewhere.

During those days in Da Nang, whether eating in the urban area or going to the scenic spots in the surrounding suburbs, all the trips depend on motorcycles. It is not only convenient, but also very interesting.

Motorcycle rental shops can be seen everywhere in Da Nang. Because these shops only serve tourists, they can communicate in simple English.

Rental stores must have English signs. Actually, I rented a car at a motel.

About driver's license

Motorcycle management in Vietnam is very formal. You won't see unlicensed motorcycles in the street. You have to have a driver's license to drive a motorcycle. China's driver's license is obviously not recognized, and it is unknown whether the so-called international motorcycle driver's license (with this thing) will be recognized. But in fact, Vietnam seems to be very tolerant of foreign tourists, and you don't need a driver's license to rent a car. The police on the road should know this but turn a blind eye. So you can rest assured.

About rent

The general rent is 100k- 150k VND (equivalent to RMB 30-50 yuan) per day. After my comparison, there is actually little difference in price. A car with a better model may be more expensive. It is suggested that when renting a car, ask the price directly by pointing to the car you like to avoid the embarrassing situation.

About the deposit

Generally speaking, the shopkeeper will ask for a passport. At first, I was not at ease. Later, I was relieved to see the colorful passports in the owner's bag. If you are really worried, you can choose a car rental point near the hotel, and then say that your passport is pressed to the hotel for them to negotiate with the car rental agency.

Instead of going to a special car rental agency, the boss put several cars in the lobby of his hotel. There are not many cars, because it is next to the hotel and the price is not bad.

other charges

In general, the store will ask you if you need gasoline, because there is usually not much oil in the car. The fuel price of car dealers is usually expensive (I met 350k 1.5L). Although there is not much oil in the car, it is enough for you to drive to the gas station, so it is good to refuel yourself from an economic point of view. However, due to the low fuel consumption of motorcycles, even if they are hacked by the owners, they will be less than 10 yuan. If time is tight, you can go to the garage to refuel.

I have never driven a motorcycle before. Is it safe to rent a motorcycle in Vietnam?

I think the safety of renting a car and driving a motorcycle in Vietnam is what most people are most worried about. The name "iron wrapped meat" is deeply rooted in people's hearts, and after all, motorcycle driving is forbidden in most big cities in China (when going out to coastal provinces in Guangdong, the number of motorcycle troops returning home every year is negligible). Many people have no experience in driving motorcycles. Even if they drive electric cars, the density of vehicles is far less than that of motorcycles in Vietnam.

I had the same worry before I went, because I had never touched a motorcycle or even ridden an electric car. The same is true of LD at home. We don't even know how to start a motorcycle.

It's okay for girls to drive this motorcycle. LD, get used to it for a few minutes.

But I won't know until I go. Actually, there is no problem at all. The pedal is easy to open!

Say a few words from the heart for reference only. Please don't laugh at the old motorcycle driver:

My sister and I drove a motorcycle to Da Nang for dinner.

Driving skill

1, the scooter is automatic. You just need to control the throttle and brake and turn the handle to refuel. Be sure to give it slowly for the first time, and the slower you turn, the better. Just like a car, the car will only move when you turn to the critical point. Never unscrew it directly, it will fly out with people and cars.

2. When parking, pinch the brake with your hand (it is difficult to turn the throttle by pinching the brake) to avoid inadvertently turning the throttle.

When parking, you must put the bracket first, and then people get off. Motorcycles are heavy. Once out of balance, the man can say that my sister probably can't support the car. When you get off the bus, you must stop at Zhi Zi first, and then people get off. If you want to push a car, people walk on their legs.

4. If it is found that it can't be started, first check whether the Zhi Zi of the car is put away, because putting down the Zhi Zi car will automatically stall.

Scooters can be said to be almost zero in driving difficulty, but the awareness of traffic safety is not low at all. After all, motorcycles have a speed of 40km/h and a high vehicle density, so we must have enough safety awareness.

Vietnamese people's driving habits are not bad, much higher than domestic electric vehicles, so everyone will acquiesce that the other person is a person with good driving habits, so you must obey the traffic rules, otherwise accidents will easily occur (the death rate of traffic accidents in Vietnam is very high).

Vietnamese people have the same driving habits as China people. If you have a good habit of driving a car/electric car or even riding a bike in China, there is basically no pressure to drive a motorcycle in Vietnam.

Standard two lanes, most people like to drive in the middle of the road. In Vietnam, cars must give way to motorcycles.

: traffic safety

1. Get on the bus and wear a helmet. There's nothing to say about this.

2. Change lanes and turn on the lights. Domestic electric vehicles have hardly seen lights. When driving a motorcycle in Vietnam, you must remember to turn on the turn signal.

3. Pay attention to the rearview mirror. Motorcycles also have rearview mirrors. When you get the car, adjust the rearview mirror to the right position so that you can observe the car from the back.

4. Avoid snakeskin walking and change lanes at will.

5. Try to drive on the right. On the far right side of Vietnam lane is the motorcycle/bicycle slow lane. Locals like walking.

7. Pay attention to the speed limit. Most roads in the urban area have a speed limit of 40, and everyone basically walks within the speed limit. Although I have never seen the police check the speed limit, I don't have to worry about the camera, but for safety, it is different in the suburbs. All kinds of teenagers can fly like flying. If you are not very skilled, just walk slowly to the right.

Stop and refuel.

Say come on first. When renting a car, be sure to ask how to use the vehicle: how to start, how to turn off, how to lock, where are the turn signals, where are the speakers and where are the headlights. In fact, you can find these yourself soon. But the aerator is a bit troublesome, and each model is different. When I first refueled, I looked for a long time with the little brother at the gas station, but I still asked the boss.

There are many gas stations in Vietnam, and they are all quite formal. Come on, make yourself at home. However, there seems to be no difference between labels. Maybe all motorcycles are priced at the same price, which is easy to remember, that is, 10K VND 1L oil (equivalent to RMB 3 yuan), which is easy to calculate and seems to be a unified price. Later, when I refueled, I didn't even ask the price, so I gave the money directly.

The fuel gauge of a motorcycle is similar to that of a car. It should be no problem for my car to run 100 km with full fuel. If it is a mountain road, there is a discount. Don't worry too much if the pointer reaches the red area. You can run more than ten kilometers. Finding a gas station is no problem.

To find a gas station, just search for gasoline on Google Maps. As far as Da Nang is concerned, the density is ok, and there are still many gas stations that are not shown on the map.

Parking is also fun. I still remember a long time ago when I stored my bike, I would give you two numbered signs, one on the handle of the trailer and the other for you to hold. When you leave, the two brands match. The motorcycle parking lot in Vietnam is similar, except that they write the number on the car with chalk, usually on the seat or dashboard, and put it wherever you have time. Then I will give you a sign with the corresponding number on it, and you will check it when you go out.

If you park, the roadside shop is on the sidewalk, and the store sometimes shows you the location. If there are parking lots in scenic spots or supermarkets, they are basically free and formal, similar to car parking.

A few places will charge (such as pink church roadside). In that case, go ahead and find a path to park on the side of the road. But remember to adjust the front of the car to about 60 degrees, and then screw the key to the lock to prevent theft.

So much for some precautions about motorcycles. The following are the daily account hours.

Hotel selection

Most people in the hotel will choose Da Nang or the seaside. My suggestion is the seaside. Take a walk in the ten most beautiful Meixi beaches in the world in the morning and evening. It's great to drink beer while blowing the sea breeze and counting the stars. If you need to support yourself, you can go anywhere by motorcycle. You don't care whether you live in the city or not.

The Chu hotel is a small and beautiful hotel. The room is average, but the bar on the first floor is great. There is a band performance in the evening, and the drinks and coffee are all good. Unfortunately, the front is blocked by the newly-built Holiday Inn. It may also be because of this reason that the price is surprisingly cheap. Fortunately, I usually surf outside and go back to the hotel 12. It doesn't matter what the seascape is.

Just across the street, Meixi Beach is one of the top ten most beautiful beaches in the world. But this road is not easy to walk, it is fast and there are no traffic lights. Fortunately, Holiday Inn built an underground passage, which also made me feel very relaxed.

In the morning and evening, the beach is very lively, especially in the morning, many local people are doing morning exercises.

This road by the sea is definitely a holy place to ride, with wide road, few cars and good scenery. Riding a motorcycle at night, blowing the sea breeze, listening to the waves and the wind whistling in my ears. Living inland, I like this feeling very much.

The first day: Banan Mountain in the rain, a fanatical car parade in Da Nang.

Bashan is famous for its ropeway, which has the longest ropeway in the world. The whole journey takes more than 30 minutes. Climbing straight from the ground to the clouds, although the scenery outside is good, it is actually boring to sit for a long time. This mountain is a summer resort built by French colonists. This building is very beautiful, and these people will like it very much. In fact, these things on the top of the mountain were completed in two hours, so

Cable cars are very dense. From the cable car, look at the cable car line in the clouds next to it.

Bashan Mountain is about 60km away from Da Nang, and some mountain roads should be filled with oil before departure to ensure no panic. All the way through cities, villages and mountains, the scenery on the road is good.

Bashan has a special free motorcycle parking lot, so don't worry about parking. The ticket price is not low (as far as Vietnamese dong is concerned), but considering that the ropeway and other expenses are all inclusive, it is acceptable. If Dong is short of money (I am. ) You can pay in US dollars (RMB seems to be no good, I'm not sure).

The scenic spots are all on the mountain, but the cable car station at the foot of the mountain is unambiguous. This is an antique building with China style. The cable car station gives people a good feeling and is exquisitely built.

The scenery on the road is good, but the visibility is not high. Then I went to the clouds and couldn't see anything at all. I can only brush my mobile phone.

I met a waterfall on the way to the cable car, because it rained that day and there was a lot of water. Unfortunately, there is no open hiking route in Banan Mountain, so there is no way to enjoy the waterfall at close range.

There are many restaurants on the mountain, and the prices are not expensive. Most people choose the largest Asian buffet, which is quite rich in dishes, as if it only costs about 60 RMB.

Unfortunately, it rained on the mountain, but the fog added a bit of mystery. The church built by the French on the mountain, Vietnam does not believe in Christ, so now it is simply a scenic spot.

The jumping machine on the playground on the mountain is not high, but the layout is very interesting.

Besides the cable car, there are also mountaineering trains.

It's good to grow meat on the mountain. I think my own plant has died several times.

The playground is not small, there are several floors, and the game machine is relatively new, but many people will not leave until they occupy it, so they can only play Pac-Man. There are plenty of people in the silly boy.

The scenic spots in Bashan are well built and the service is quite humanized. When it rains, the staff provide disposable raincoats everywhere for free, and there are also such charging piles in the rest area. Even if there is no charging cable, there is no problem. Very sweet.

After playing all day, it was already dark when I came back at night. At first, I was worried that it would be difficult to walk at night. As a result, Banan Mountain is a specially built tourist road leading to the urban area, and the road conditions and lighting on the way back are good for the cattle on the rural roadside. At that time, the speed was around 30, and the taillights of the locals could hardly be seen.

Interestingly, Vietnam just won the Asian Cup U23 runner-up that day, and the whole Da Nang went crazy. There is a motorcycle parade in the evening, and the scene and atmosphere are really exciting. Motorcycles wave Vietnamese flags in droves, whizzing past, and passers-by on the roadside will respond loudly. At the moment of their traffic, infected by this happy atmosphere, they will shout along.

Although the traffic is so dense, it is not dangerous at all. Basically, no one will change lanes, even safer than driving in Beijing.

The next day: Haiyunling Panshan Highway, a five-star mountain full of surprises.

The goal of the next day is to ride the holy land, Haiyunling. Hailing lies between Da Nang and Hue. Its altitude is not high, only less than 500 meters. It is called Haiyunling because it is often surrounded by white clouds, which are as turbid as the blue sky and the sea. Overlooking the famous Guling Bay along the coastline.

Starting from Da Nang, follow the seaside highway all the way to Camellia Peninsula, stop in front of Guanyin statue, and continue northward along the seaside. After 20 kilometers, enter the mountain area, experience the thrill of racing on the mountain road, reach the top of the mountain and climb the clouds, as if you were in a fairyland (only the visibility is low, pay attention to safety).

All the way from Meixitan is basically along the seaside. The driving experience and scenery are great. LD said that it was comparable to the self-driving experience of the United States 1 expressway.

The customs at the top of the mountain are the remains of historical buildings in the Ming Dynasty. For us in China, it's just a small break that is not too old. Not worth seeing. When we started going downhill by sea, we could see Guling Bay. When we go down to Guling Bay, we will enter the border of Hue. If you want to go to the ancient city of Hue, you can go straight. I will turn around here because I want to go back to Da Nang.

There is a tunnel in the middle of Hailing, which can be directly crossed without taking Panshan Road. Prepare to climb the mountain when you go, and take the tunnel when you come back. As a result, I learned that the tunnel can only take cars, so I had to change to customs. However, with the previous climbing experience, the average speed has been greatly improved this time, and it is very exciting to keep the speed of 40 all the way.

The Guanyin statue on Camellia Peninsula feels that you can go or not. This pile of bonsai in front of me is not bad.

Comparable to the experience of 1 highway, Da Nang is far away.

The advantage of riding a motorcycle on Hailing Panshan Road is that you can stop at any time when you meet the scenery. There are many tourists riding horses on the mountain.

Unknown cove on the road

As the altitude rises, it gradually walks into the clouds, and there is a feeling of silent hill among the trees.

After passing the customs, we began to descend the mountain. You can see the beautiful Guling Bay from the fog. The scenery is amazing. If you go to Da Nang, you must not miss it.

Although the mountain road is steep, it is really well built. When you meet this hairpin bend, there will be enough turning space to make high-speed turning possible.

The feeling of bending, the first letter D is made of wood.

At the foot of the mountain is Guling Bay. Unfortunately, the tunnel won't let us go, so we have to go back the same way. This time we don't look at the scenery, but concentrate on racing! Put some motion picture handles taken by a motion camera. Although it is a small pedal, it is not a high-powered locomotive, but it is also very cool on Panshan Highway. Especially in the fog.

There are not many cars on the road, but be careful, for example.

It's still early to come down from the mountain. I walked around the city first and went to the famous pink church. Unfortunately, I can't go in before mass. Outside the church is the Han market, where there are many novel things to sell and worth visiting.

The downtown area is still very prosperous.

Han market

Many goods in the market don't know what it is or what language it is. Fortunately, the price is not expensive, and the taste will be rewarded.

I happened to meet a Vietnamese traffic policeman. He put a sticker on the roadside, but only for cars and motorcycles. Vietnamese policemen usually wear yellow clothes and look depressed, but this policeman in black looks cool.

Then I went directly to the last scenic spot today, Wuxing Mountain. The English translation is called Marble Mountain. Actually, English translation is more accurate. Wuxing Mountain is a pile of granite that suddenly appeared on the beach flat.

China's travel notes about Wuxing Mountain are few, but the score of owls is high. After I went there, I really seldom saw domestic tourists. Even in Da Nang, there are few Koreans everywhere, and they are basically European and American tourists. However, the five elements are unique! Yes! Value! Come on! One! Play! What a surprise!

There are many natural and magical landforms here, the most famous of which are several natural caves, which are really eye-opening. There are two interesting holes inside!

The inside of this hole is round and quite regular, as if it had been dug by hand.

It's very dark in the cave, and there is a Buddha statue, but if you look closely, there are some very inconspicuous steps behind the Buddha statue (really inconspicuous, without any logo, it looks very bright in the photo, but you can't actually see anything). Climbing up the steps, there is a hole.

This cave is even more magical. It is a cylindrical cave with a skylight at the top, through which sunlight can enter.

At the top of the skylight, the surrounding cave walls are also very smooth. When I thought it was all over, I didn't expect there was an exit at the end of the hole. This exit is too narrow, and one person can barely get through. I can hardly climb out of this place, so the fat man may not climb out either. It turned out to be the top of the mountain overlooking Meixi Beach.

Another interesting cave has no such twists and turns. This is a huge cave. Basically, the interior of a mountain is hollowed out by nature, and there are all kinds of niches in it, which is very shocking.

Wuxing Mountain is big enough to play for a day, but it's already dark, so I have to climb the highest peak in a hurry to enjoy the night view of Da Nang, and then leave.

Although the mountains are not high and Da Nang is not as brightly lit as a big city, this endless feeling is still great because there is almost no barrier. Moreover, there are basically no people in the scenic spot at this time, and the probability that you are alone at the top of the mountain is very high, so you

After that, the city continued to wave, because it was going home soon, and there was another wave of supermarket purchases. Bigc and Letian Day in Da Nang are well-known supermarkets. When I arrived in Lotte, I was frightened by this parking lot.

On my way back, I passed the bridge. The two bridges in Da Nang are very distinctive and beautiful. In particular, the middle bridge pile is designed in the shape of a dragon, as if it were a dragon in the sea. The tail of a dragon was photographed in the photo.

What to eat in Vietnam

Because I spend most of my time playing outside and don't have much time to find food, I basically follow the public comments and owls and choose the best way.

A Vietnamese rice noodle by the sea, this store has a huge evaluation, and it really lives up to its reputation by following the navigation. It is really delicious.

Owls are very popular in an Indian restaurant, and the clerk has a good English and Chinese menu. I have never been to India. I don't know if it's authentic, but it's really delicious.

It is also a Korean seafood barbecue by the sea. The same owl high-scoring restaurant is more popular, and it is basically Korean. Exquisite decoration and Chinese menu, so the price is not expensive. Interestingly, this shop is hidden in an alley and can't be seen outside. This barbecue is very Korean. Every table has a smoking machine, but there is no local barbecue stall in Vietnam.

Of course, what I like best is sitting or lying on the beach with her, having a drink, blowing the sea breeze, counting the stars and enjoying the holiday.
