It is located at the southernmost tip of Taiwan Island. It is located on the platform at the end of the Central Mountain Range. The tip extends overseas to form a peninsula. The Paiwan people of Gaoshan tribe originally lived here, and Eluan means "sailboat" in Paiwan language. Because there is a stone in the sea of ??nearby Banana Bay, 50 meters high and about 40 meters around, which looks like a sail, so it was named "Sailboat Stone". And because it is connected to the Hengchun Hills in the north, connected to the mountains and surrounded by the sea, and protrudes like a nose, it is named "Eluan Bi". It is also famous because there is a large lighthouse here.
