Crossing Russia by train alone.

Introductory songs (Tanci (Tanci) and some local operas)

It has always been my wish to cross Russia by train along the Eurasian Railway. The westernmost big city in Russia is St. Petersburg, and the easternmost big city is Vladivostok. The railway distance between the two places is almost 10,000 kilometers (9288 kilometers from Moscow to Vladivostok), and there is also a Eurasian railway connecting the two places. If you just take the train, it takes seven days and seven nights to go directly from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok.

The theme of my trip is to take the train, starting from St. Petersburg on the Baltic Sea, the whole train, passing through trans-siberian railway and across Eurasia, and ending in Vladivostok on the Pacific Ocean. Of course, I have to get off at the place where I am interested, otherwise I will go to Russia for nothing.

After traveling from Latin America to the United States, I stayed with my relatives for several months, saving a lot of accommodation. During this time, I did a few things.

The first and most important thing is to apply for a Russian visa. Without a visa, everything is impossible. China people who travel to Russia are exempt from visas if they join a tour group, but I still go alone, so I have to apply for a visa. Only when the visa is in hand can other preparations be made. A week later, I got my visa, but I was only allowed to stay in Russia for 30 days. This is a big problem. Because I don't usually do detailed raiders, I just ride a donkey and read a song book. But this time, due to time constraints, I dare not walk so freely.

So the second thing to do is to make a detailed plan as far as possible, and plan the daily itinerary so as not to be in a hurry. Because the time is too short, the train goes slowly and there are many places to go, so I plan to travel by train at night and play during the day, otherwise I won't be able to go to so many places.

With a travel plan, the third thing is the most troublesome thing, which is to buy a train ticket. To buy a train ticket, you must first register in official website, a Russian railway, just like 12306. Russian train tickets are not as simple as China train tickets. At the same time, it is troublesome to unify the fares. First of all, Russia has seven time zones, unlike China, which are all Beijing time. Daily life in Russia uses local time, while trains all over the country use Moscow time. In this way, it is easy to make mistakes when buying train tickets, because when conversion of time becomes Moscow, it depends on local time. There are many places I plan to take the train at night and play during the day. However, when I first bought a train ticket, I miscalculated the time of several stops. I wanted to get on the train at 7 or 8 pm local time and get off the train the next morning. The result is to get on the bus at midnight local time and get off at noon the next day, or get on the bus at noon local time and get off at midnight. So I returned all the wrong tickets and bought them again. Russian train tickets can be bought on the website of Russian Railway and paid by credit card. The Russian Railway website has an English page, but when you buy a ticket, you must choose the old version (it gives you a choice), otherwise the payment page will not be displayed. There is another difference between Russian railways and China. Its fare is not fixed. Generally released 30 days in advance. At the beginning, the ticket price was the cheapest, and it will increase a little every day. The fare on the day of driving may be more than twice as expensive as the earliest fare. I plan to be in Russia in July and August, which is the summer vacation. Tickets are very tight during the rush hour. So I almost always buy them on sale. The second-class ticket of Russian railway is equivalent to the soft berth in China, and the third-class ticket is equivalent to the hard berth in China. I wanted to sit better, so I bought all the second-class tickets. Except for two tickets, I couldn't find them and didn't buy them. All the other tickets were bought before departure. Only in this way can I guarantee to leave Russia within 30 days. I can't bear to leave early, and I will be arrested in more than 30 days.

When I am free every day, the fourth thing I do is to learn Russian. Russian, English and Spanish are completely two systems, which are very difficult to learn. In addition, the old man is old, his brain is ineffective and he can't learn well. In the end, I only learned four simple sentences. The first sentence, hit, means in Chinese. The second sentence, pinch, means no in Chinese. The third sentence, wash it, wash it, Chinese means thank you. The fourth sentence, kill aunt Wei, which means goodbye in Chinese. I am going to travel to Russia with these four Russian sentences I am proficient in: beating, pinching, washing and killing Aunt Wei.
