Where is Shu now?

Shu is now Chengdu.

Chengdu is one of the top ten ancient capitals in China, the first batch of national historical and cultural cities, and the birthplace of ancient Shu civilization. The Jinsha site in China has a history of 3, years. Zhou Taiwang is named Chengdu because of its "gathering in one year, becoming a city in two years and Chengdu in three years". Shu Han, Cheng Han, Qian Shu, Hou Shu and other regimes have successively established their capitals here, and have always been the prefectures and counties of various dynasties.

Han is one of the five largest cities in China, and Tang is one of the most developed industrial and commercial cities in China, which is known as "Yang Yi Er" in history. The Northern Song Dynasty was the second largest city outside Bianjing, and invented the world's first paper currency. With Dujiangyan, Wuhou Temple, Du Fu Caotang and other places of interest, it is the best tourist city in China.

Topography

Chengdu is located at the western edge of Sichuan Basin, and its topography inclines from northwest to southeast. The western part belongs to the marginal area of Sichuan Basin, mainly composed of deep hills and mountains, with an altitude of 1, ~ 3, meters. The highest point is located in Daxuetang (Miaojiling) in Xiling Town, Dayi County, with an altitude of 5,364 meters.

The eastern part belongs to the basin-bottom plain of Sichuan Basin, which is formed by alluvial rivers such as Minjiang River and Yujiang River. It is the heartland of Chengdu Plain, which is mainly composed of plains, terraces and some low hills. The altitude is generally around 75m, and the lowest is on the bank of Tuojiang River in jianyang city, with an altitude of 359m.

Due to the huge vertical height difference, Chengdu has formed a unique landform type with one third of plains, one third of hills and one third of mountains. Due to the remarkable differentiation of climate, vertical climate zones with obvious different heat differences are formed, so there are many kinds, complete categories and relatively concentrated distribution of biological resources in the region.
